Vornicu Gets Aggressive

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Valentin Vornicu raised to 800 in early position which saw only the button and the big blind call.

On the AQJ flop, the big blind checked to Vornicu who bet 900, which saw the button raise to 2,300.

The big blind got out of the way and Vornicu responded by raising to 7,000 which saw his opponent quickly cede the pot the 12-time WSOP ring winner.

Also at the table is recent WSOP $10,000 Stud Eight or Better Runner up Bryn Kenney.

Smith Fires Three Barrels

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

A player opened from under the gun, then another one in middle position raised to 1,500. On the button, Dan Smith called. The small blind and the player under the gun made the call too.

On the flop 1053, everybody checked to Smith who bet 1,600. The small blind called, as well as the player under the gun. The middle position player was the only one to fold.

The J came on the turn, and Smith fired a second barrel of 5,000. The small blind quickly check-called once again, but the player under the gun didn't follow them on the river 6x.

Smith added 10,000 chips to the pot on the last street. But the small blind couldn't call a third time, so he folded.

Tasker Stays on Task, Calls A River Raise

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

The player under the gun limped only to see the player to his direct left raise to 1,300. Sean Tasker called from the small blind as did the initial limper under the gun, leading to a Q65 flop.

Tasker and the under-the-gun player checked and the initial raiser continued with a bet of 1,000. Tasker called and the under-the-gun limper both called to bring out the 10 on the turn.

Action checked through on the turn to bring the K out on the river.

Tasker chose to lead for the first time in the hand and did so with a bet of 2,000. The under-the-gun player folded to the initial pre-flop raiser who thought for a moment before counting out chips and tossing in a raise to 8,500.

Tasker, not a buyer of what his opponent was trying to sell, tossed in the call and turned over 66 for a set of sixes which was well ahead of the JJ of his opponent.

The jacks hit the muck and the dealer pushed the pot in Tasker's direction.

Ufano Pardo Chips Up

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

A late position player raised to 2,200 and Jorge Ufano Pardo made it 7,500 from the small blind.

Ufano Pardo continued for 5,200 on a JJ9 flop, and the late position player put in the call, leaving 19,000 behind.

When the 7 hit the turn, Ufano Pardo put that 19,000 to the test, betting 20,000. The late position player went deep in the tank, leaning back with his head behind his head as he looked back and forth at the flop, his chip stack, and Ufano Pardo, now burrowed deep into his hoodie.

As the break announcement came and went, and players started making their way to the exits, just those two remained. The late position player finally decided to fight another day and folded.
