Soni Stays Alive

"I'm back to 15,000"? Parmod Soni exclaimed just after his double up. Because in the last few hours, he went from 70,000 to 7,000 after experiencing two terrible runouts.

With his remaining 7,000 chips, he desperately needed to double up. And the moment his all-in was called finally came.

Soni's fate rested in the hands of the dealer, who revealed a board of 78834. Only low cards, which allowed Soni to stay in the tournament.

Sick Call for Swift

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

On a completed board of 9435K, Jamie Smith fired an overbet of 11,000 into the pot of 8,600.

Katie Swift was deep in the tank and after about a minute she made the call.

Smith tabled 86, for eight-high and Swift whipped over her A6 for ace-high to drag the pot.

No Fear for Nanev

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Rumen Nanev had three-bet to 7,300 and then Armando Mesina four-bet-shoved for 23,500.

The action folded back around to Nanven who went into the tank for a bit before he flicked in a chip to make the call, putting Mesina at risk.

The board ran out J91022 for Navev's pocket sevens to hold and Mesina was eliminated from the tournament in Level 2.

Meanwhile, Nanev has chipped up to over 170,000 - one of the largest in the field.

Lanza Fades the Lion's Roar

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Daniel Cates raised it up from the hijack and picked up two callers including Marcelo Lanza in the big blind. The flop came J106 and the action checked around to the 8 on the turn.

Lanza led out with a bet of 2,300 and Cates raised to 8,500, forcing the button to fold. Lanza jammed all in for 14,200 and Cates snapped him off.

Lanza had two pair but needed to fade the world with Cates having a combo draw. The river was the 7 and Cates missed everything as he sent over a double up.

Vuono Calls Opponent Down

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Keith Vuono raised in late position to 1,200 and got called by both the small blind and big blind to bring out a 6103 flop.

The small blind led out for 1,200 and both the big blind and Vuono called to see the 9 turn.

The small blind again chose to lead, this time for 1,600. The big blind decided to fold but Vuono stuck around to see the Q hit the river.

The small blind led one more time, this time for 3,000. Vuono thought briefly, but decided pretty quickly that he wasn't a believer and called with the A10.

His opponent showed the AJ and Vuono said, "You can't have trips every time" as he collected the pot.

Antunes, Harder Win on the Turn

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Three-handed on a flop of 87A, Robert Mierzejewski bet 1,200 from the button and only Lucia Antunes called in the hijack.

The turn came the 4 and Mierzejewski bet another 6,500. Antunes this time came back with a raise to 15,000 and Mierzejewski laid his hand down.

"Another bluff," a tablemate said as Antunes raked in the pot.

At the same time on an adjacent table, Christian Harder raised to 1,000 from under the gun and was called by an opponent in the big blind.

The flop came 372 and Harder continued for 800. His opponent called to the K turn, where Harder won the pot with another bet of 3,000.

Harder is seated at a tough table that also includes Frederik Brink and Tyler Smith.

Aces Hold for Nguyen Hill

Tracey Nguyen Hill was in early position and raised to 1,100 and received a call from the big blind. The flop came out 357 with flush and straight options all over the place. The big blind player bet 1,100 and Nguyen Hill reraised to 2,200. The big blind player went into the think tank and called.

The board got more dangerous on the turn 10 and the big blind checked and Nguyen Hill placed a bet of 2,300 and got the call.

On the river K the big blind made his move and bet 12,000 and it was Nguyen Hill's turn to think and then she made the call.

The big blind flipped over 89 for a missed straight and Nguyen Hill tossed over AA for the overpair. Nguyen stated, "He was repping that flush draw hard".

Andre Ali raised to 800 in first position which saw action fold around to a player on the button who three bet to 4,000 and in the big blind, Julia Cornelius moved all in for 9,800 and Ali moved all in for more which saw the button fold.

The board ran out 24J10K and the river put the ace-king in the lead while Cornelius exited the tournament.

Ruiz Shows the Bluff to Kassouf

In a heads-up situation with around 7,000 in the pot, a board 78Q2 was already dealt. William Kassouf checked under the gun to Jose Ruiz on the button, who checked as well.

The 9 completed the board on the river and Kassouf tanked a minute and checked again. Ruiz sent 3,8000 in the middle and Kassouf folded, saying "Ok show the bluff now".

Ruiz revealed 45 with a smile before sending his cards into muck and took down the pot.
