Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
DJ MacKinnon
DJ MacKinnon

The action folded around to Robert Mizrachi who limped the small blind and DJ MacKinnon checked his option.

The dealer spread a flop of 553 and both players checked to see the K turn.

Mizrachi flicked in a bet of 2,000 and MacKinnon called.

The 5 completed the board and Mizrachi checked before MacKinnon checked back. Mizrachi almost tabled his hand but MacKinnon showed K6.

Simpson Wins Without a Showdown

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

James Borland opened to 5,000 from under the gun and was called by the player directly behind him, the player in the small blind, and Conrad Simpson in the big blind.

Everyone checked on the 376 flop and the small blind checked to Simpson again on the 9 turn. Simpson fired 12,000 into the middle and only Borland called.

The Q filled the river and Simpson bet 18,500. Borland folded after a bit of thought and Simpson took down the pot.

Guichard Shows His Opponent a Massive Cooler

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Paul Guichard and an opponent went to the river on a completed board of A105AK and around 50,000 already in the middle when Guichard bet 34,500.

His opponent tanked for a few moments before calling as Guichard turned over A5 for a full house. "I knew something was up," his opponent said as he flashed AxJx before mucking.

At the same table, Richard Seymour was built up his stack to around 300,000 on the last level of the night.

Blake Bests Three Opponents

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The pot stood at 22,000 with four players still remaining in the hand.

On a board of 947, the small blind led into three players for 8,000, the player in the big blind called and Brendan Blake in the cutoff raised to 25,000. Connor Rash on the button folded, as did both the blinds.

Blake's raise deprived all three of his opponents of a turn card and earned him the pot.

Sam Soverel
Sam Soverel

Recelent bracelet winner Sam Soverel is one of the latest players to join the Red section in the final stretch of the day. After a raise from early position, the cutoff called and so did Soverel on the button. The big blind followed suit as well and a flop of 436 was seen four-way.

The big blind checked before early position bet out 5,000. The cutoff called but Soverel raised it up to 17,000. The big blind then folded and, after a quick pause, the two players who had put money in the pot followed as well, letting out little sighs in the process.

Shapiro Spikes The River in Monster Pot

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Jeffrey Shapiro was all in and at risk against Brett McCollum on a board of 9x9x10x10x with over 300,000 in the middle.

Jeffrey Shapiro: Qx9x
Brett McCollum: 89

It turned out Shapiro was freerolling against McCollum, and the Qx river improved Shapiro to queens-full of tens — sending him the monster pot late in the evening.
