Level 15

5-Card Draw

John Monnette raised to 15,000 on the button before Nick Guagenti three-bet to 40,000 in the big blind. Monnette then moved all in for 140,000 and Guagenti called.

Both players drew two and Monnette turned over 999 for trip nines. Guagenti had 222 but didn't improve on the draw and handed over the double up.

Lamb Puts Zinno in the Tank

Level 15

Pot-Limit Omaha

Ben Lamb limped in from the small blind and Anthony Zinno checked his option in the big blind. Lamb then bet 8,000 on the 678 flop and received a call from Zinno.

Lamb sized up to 24,000 on the 2 turn, which Zinno also called. On the J river, Lamb put out 79,000 chips, the majority of Zinno's remaining chips.

Zinno thought about it for a minute or so but eventually settled on a fold as he relinquished the pot to Lamb.

New WSOP Online Poker Site Merges Three US States; 30 Online Bracelet Events Scheduled

Level 14
WSOP.com
WSOP.com

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is making a move that will change the online poker game in the US with the launch of WSOP Online, a new platform that will bring players from three states together.

Poker players in Nevada and New Jersey are already competing against each other on WSOP.com, while those in Michigan have a separate single-state site. But that is changing with the trio of states being merged together on one online poker site ahead of the 2024 WSOP. Pennsylvania's WSOP site will not be part of the shared liquidity deal.

On top of the merger news, the WSOP has announced 30 online bracelet events this summer on the new WSOP Online.

Chris Moneymaker is giving it another try, opening a poker room in Kentucky, this time in Louisville.

Moneymaker Social Louisville opened Saturday, becoming the second operating brick-and-mortar card room in the state. The other one, a slightly bigger room, is located just down the street, about 15-20 minutes from the University of Louisville campus.

Opening night "went well," poker room manager Christine Russell told PokerNews. As with any new business, there "were some kinks to work out." But as Russell said, players were impressed with the initial experience.

Zinno Draws Well to Double Off Lamb

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Anthony Zinno three-bet to 30,000 before the first draw and Ben Lamb called.

Both players drew one and Lamb bet enough to put Zinno all in. Zinno called for his last 30,000.

Lamb stood pat the last two draws, while Zinno took one. Zinno had 7-5-4-2 as he waited for his last card, which was an eight to give him an 8-7-5. Lamb had an 8-6 and sent it into the muck as Zinno doubled up.

Turner Quadruples Up

Jon Turner
Jon Turner

Badeucey

The action was caught on the last draw in a four-way pot. Jon Turner was all in for 27,000 and was called by all three of his opponents.

Erick Lindgren then stood pat before Michael Martinelli, Turner, and Brian Brunner each took one card.

No more betting action followed and the cards were shown down. Lindgren showed 85432 for an eight-low, while Martinelli tabled 107342 for a ten-badugi.

Turner had them both beat, however, as he turned over his 76532 for a seven-low and seven-badugi. Brunner's cards hit the muck face-down and the pot was shipped in Turner's direction.
