Jager Haunted By Another Seven

Paul Jager jammed for 250,000 from under the gun and folded out the rest of the table.

The following hand, Shawn Daniels opened to 100,000 from the button and called when Jager pushed in his stack from the big blind.

The J♠5♠6♦ flop and Q♠ turn kept Jager ahead, but like in his hand against Santhosh Suvarna, the 7♥ came in on the river.

The table offered their condolences to Jager, who's 19th place exit set up the three table redraw.

Santhosh Suvarna open-jammed a stack of around 400,000 on the button and Paul Jager re-shoved in the small blind to bring a reluctant fold from Michael Rocco in the big blind.

Rocco quickly got up from his seat after seeing his opponent's hands and later told them he folded ace-queen. The flop of 4♦K♠9♥ and K♦ turn didn't change anything, but the 7♥ river gave Suvarna his three-outer to stay alive.

"Unlucky, you should have tripled!" Shawn Daniels commented.

Michael Rocco and Andrew Lichtenberger were in a heads-up pot with the board reading Q♦3♥J♣2♠A♥.

With around 400,000 in the middle, Rocco put out a stack of 1,000,000 to put Lichtenberger all in for less. Lichtenberger used a time chip and called.

Rocco showed 5♥4♦ for a rivered Wheel, which crushed the K♦3♦ of Lichtenberger as "LuckyChewy" hit the rail.

Action folded to Lander Lijo in the small blind and he made it 105,000. Brandon Wilson defended his big blind.

On the 9♣9♦6♠ flop, Wilson called for 75,000 before the 7♦ turn checked through to the 4♦ river.

Lijo sized up to 285,000 and Wilson quickly folded.

As that hand ended, a big pot was brewing between Andrew Lichtenberger and Santhosh Suvarna.

With around 380,000 in the middle on the K♣4♥K♥3♠ board. Lichtenberger checked from the big blind, prompting Suvarna to fire out 60,000. Lichtenberger jammed for 285,000 and was snap-called.

Lichtenberger flopped trips but Suvarna turned a full house to have the best hand.

The 4♠ came in on the river, double pairing the board to give "Chewy" a better full house for the double up.

Lin Can't Fold His Way to the Final Table

Ren Lin has spent the last few levels folding emphatically and announcing "fold to the final table" every time.

As a result, Lin got down to just 45,000 before he started scoping out the other stacks in the room.

"Anyone shorter than me?" Lin said as he waved his chips around. "Anyone shorter than one big blind?"

"I don't know how Ren is still in this tournament," Alex Foxen said.

Finally, Lin found a hand good enough to go with as action folded to him in late position. After fumbling around in his backpack, he pulled out a "No Gamble No Future" sticker and stuck in front of him in lieu of an all-in button.

"All in! Let's go!" Lin cheered as action folded around to Vlastimil Pustina in the small blind.

"You look or no look? Oh, you're small blind," said Lin.

Pustina raised and Lin was ready to go. "Come on baby! One time! You double me up, we go to strip club! "Deuce? Strip club."

The flop of Q♠3♠J♦ paired both player's kickers, but the Q♣ turn had Lin crying "ay ya ya ya ya ya" before the J♠ river.

"No more strip club," he said. "No bluff, no future."

When it folded around to Ethan Yau on the button he decided now was the time to commit his last 420,000 into the middle.

Paul Jager was in the small blind and went deep into the tank, using possibly his first time extension of the event. As he slid his time extension to the dealer, Michael Rocco put in calling chips and turned over pocket jacks, mistakingly thinking Jager had folded. After the floor was called over, it was settled that Rocco's call would stand with the action back on Jager. It didn't take long for Jager to fold his hand, and the cards were revealed.

Yau flopped a six on the 6♣2♣7♥ flop, but didn't improve any further as the 5♥ turn, and 3♦ river cemented his elimination from the event.

After the hand Rocco commented to Jager "you never use time extensions". Rocco was then issued a one-hand penalty by the floor staff.

In a three-bet pot, Chongxian Yang put out a 200,000 continuation bet on a Q♣J♦9♣ flop and Stoyan Madanzhiev raised to 425,000. Yang re-raised all in putting Madanzhiev to the test.

Madanzhiev called for his last 1,485,000.

Dylan Destefano opened for most of his stack of around 300,000 in the hijack and called off as Chongxian Yang three-bet jammed in the big blind.

Destefano was in great shape to double up on the bubble, but the flop of 4♣2♦8♠ had other plans as a four in the window left him drawing to two outs.

The board ran out paint with the Q♠ turn and K♥ river, but they weren't what Destefano was looking for and he tossed his chips into the middle after bubbling in brutal fashion.
