Pop Sent to the Rail

Level 31 : Blinds 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Federico Castaing opened from middle position, then called when Catalin Pop three-bet to 2,500,000.

Before the dealer revealed a flop of 536, Castaing bet roughly 250,000 and Pop took as much time as he could to call. He eventually did for his last 75,000 when the clock was called.

Catalin Pop: KK All in
Federico Castaing: AK

The 9 turn completed Castaing's flush and Pop was eliminated after the A river.

Vincent Finds a Double

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Action picked up on the flop in a hand between Michael Vincent, in early position and Timur Margolin, in the big blind.

With 1,100,000 in the pot and the board reading 5JQ, Margolin check-called a bet of 600,000 from Vincent.

On the 7 turn, Margolin checked again, and Vincent bet 1,700,000, with 2,200,000 behind. After some deliberating, Margolin moved all in, and Vincent made the call, putting himself at risk.

The river brought the 8, and Vincent secured the pot, and the double up with his pair of queens.

Baumgartner Doubles Through Harmon

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Jacob Baumgartner raised 450,000 under the gun and action folded to Wayne Harmon in the small blind.

Harmon’s next move put Baumgartner in the blender for his tournament life because Harmon, who had Baumgartner covered, came over the top with an all-in bet.

Baumgartner peeked to the tournament screen, and then apologized to his tablemates for taking time with the decision.

After a few more moments passed, Baumgartner called off his remaining 4,000,000.

Jacob Baumgartner: 77 All in
Wayne Harmon: AK

The dealer fanned 898 on the flop, leaving Baumgartner in the lead. The 7 on the turn gave Baumgartner a full house, sevens full of eights, and a hammerlock on the hand. The 5 arrived harmlessly on the river and the large pot was sent to Baumgartner.

Maher Sends Chaoui to Rail

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Action picked up after Chaoui three-bet a player in early position, but then faced a large four-bet from Maher, whose action would put Chaoui all in with a call.

The original raiser folded, brining action to Chaoui, who appeared uneasy with Maher’s re-raise. Chaoui eventually called to put himself at risk and immediately saw he was behind.

Mehdi Chaoui: QQ All in
Jeremy Maher: KK

The dealer placed 263 on the flop, leaving Maher in the lead. The A showed up on the turn, giving Chaoui more outs to a flush. But 10 on the river sealed the hand for Maher and eliminated Chaoui from the tournament.

John Duthie

Martin Kabrhel opened to 400,000 from middle position, but John Duthie, to his left, three-bet to 1,200,000. 'Johnny, you want to bust or not? I know why you raise because you know I don't want you to bust before the final table,' Kabrhel said.

He eventually made the call, then 'checked blind' on a flop of 2K9. Duthie continued for 2,200,000, and Kabrhel quickly folded.

'I had sevens, what did you have?' Kabrhel asked. 'I have a pocket pair as well,' Duthie said, without going into more detail.
