Margolin Takes Down Pot

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Three-time WSOP bracelet winner Timur Margolin raised in early position to 400,000 and received a call from the player in the big blind.

The dealer fanned 4210, and the player in the big blind checked. Margolin fired 300,000 and his opponent called.

The J appeared on the turn, and Margolin watched as the player in the big blind checked again. Margolin responded by making a 975,000 bet, which his opponent called.

The 6 appeared on the river, and the player in the big blind checked. Margolin sized up to a 2,350,000 bet, which perplexed his opponent.

The player in the big blind went a bit in the tank, shrugging his shoulders while counting out chips. He asked the dealer to confirm the size of Margolin’s bet before eventually making the call.

Margolin tabled KJ for a pair of jacks.

“You win,” the player in the big blind said as he folded his hand face down.

Caleb Bloomer moved all in for 1,775,000, in late position and was called by Jeremy Maher, in the cutoff, who had Bloomer covered.

Jose Aguilera then moved all in from the small blind for about 2,100,000 total, putting himself at risk, and Maher called, looking for a double knockout.

Jeremy Maher: AK

Although behind, Bloomer managed to find a jack on the 7J9 flop, pulling ahead in the hand. The 6 turn and 9 river secured him the triple up. Maher was awarded the side pot, and Aguilera was sent to the rail.
