Shahni Finds a Call in the Tank

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Ali Shahni opened from the cutoff to 40,000, and when it folded to the big blind Narcis Nedelcu, he made the call.

The flop came 625 and Nedelcu lead out for a bet of 55,000. Shahni opted to make the call to see a turn.

On the turn was the K which both players checked to see a river.

The river was the 9 and Nedelcu bet out 220,000. Shahni was in the tank for several minutes contemplating his decision. He eventually found a call, and was shown QJ for queen high, and Shahni tabled K8 for a pair of kings to take down the pot.

Garza's Bottom Pair Is Good

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Lou Garza raised to 40,000 from the hijack and James Chen was the only caller, on the button.

Both players took their time to check to a showdown as the full board read JK61010. Garza optimistically flipped over A6 for bottom pair; seemingly good enough to see Chen's cards into the muck.

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
