Seidel Pays Off Strebkov

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Picking up the action on the river, Denis Strebkov from under the gun was involved in a hand with Erik Seidel in the small blind.

With the board reading 7K56K Seidel bet out 6,600. Strebkov responded with a raise to 14,500, which sent Seidel into the tank. After a few moments, the ten time bracelet winner flicked in the call only to be shown 77 by Strebkov for the full house to lose a decent portion of his stack.

Baker Back Above Starting

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
David Baker 'Bakes'
David Baker 'Bakes'

David "Bakes" Baker has been relatively short for much of the day but just won a large three-way pot to move back over starting stack.

Baker opened to 1,500 from middle position and was called by a player in middle position. Jane Hitchcock then three-bet to 3,300 out of the small blind, receiving calls from both of her opponents.

Hitchcock continued for 5,000 on the 778 flop but was unable to shake off either of her opponents as both Baker and the middle position player made the call.

The Q turn saw Hitchcock bet again, this time pushing 5,100 into the middle. Again, both of her opponents called.

Hitchcock slowed down following the Q river, checking to Baker who bet 15,000. The middle position player vacated the pot while Hitchcock snapped off the bet with AxAx. Baker had her beat, however, as he held 88 for the turned boat to scoop a big pot.

Martirosian Building a Stack

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action was picked up on the flop with 3,100 in the pot and a board showing 788.

Artur Martirosian bet 2,000 from middle position and was called by Teddy Tuil on the button.

After the K on the turn, Martirosian check-called a bet of 2,000 from Tuil.

The river was the 8 and Martirosian check-called again, this time Tuil bet 4,000.

Tuil tabled J10 for jack high, and Martirosian showed A7 to take the pot with eights full of sevens.

Texas Mike Hits the Rail

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Michael Moncek
Michael Moncek

Michael Moncek raised to 900 from middle position, and Aristide Carozza in the cutoff made the call. Then the small blind Chris Dandrea three-bet to 3,300. After it folded back to Moncek, he four-bet all in for 19,100. Carozza folded, and after confirming the count Dandrea made the call.

Michael Moncek: A7 All in
Chris Dandrea: AK

Moncek was dominated by the ace-king of Dandrea, and the 9Q3 flop was no help to Moncek. The 10 on the turn did bring Moncek more outs with a flush draw. But when the 9 hit the river, Dandrea's ace-king high was still best, and Moncek was eliminated from the tournament.
