Haxton Gets Put in a Tough Spot by Liu

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

The pot stood at approximately 27,000 with two players looking at a board dealt to the turn as it read 6425.

Xiaohu Liu, in middle position, bet out for 17,000. Isaac Haxton, in the hijack, went deep into the tank.

Haxton, visibly thrown off by Liu's bet, thought for some time before finally making the fold, claiming to have made a big lay down.

Big Slick Does Not Do the Trick for Ormson

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Wisconsin's Larry Ormson raised to 700 under the gun and cleared the field all the way to the player in the big blind, who opted to defend.

The flop came down 7J2 and action went check-check, as it did on the 9 turn.

When the Q completed the board on the river, the player in the big blind checked and Ormson bet 2,000. The big blind quickly called and showed KxQx for a rivered pair, which bested the AxKx of Ormson.

Zukowicz Runs Kings into Touitou's Aces

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
Monika Zukowicz
Monika Zukowicz

Monika Zukowicz opened to 800 from early position and was three-bet by Steven Touitou to 2,400 in the hijack. The action folded back to Zukowicz who four-bet to 7,200, and Touitou called.

The flop came 5JQ and Zukowicz continued with a bet of 4,000, which Touitou called.

A 10 landed on the turn where Zukowicz counted out another bet and put 8,000 chips into the pot. Touitou took his time before he called.

When the 8 completed the board, both players quickly checked it down.

Zukowicz tabled KK, and Touitou had the winner with AA.
