Nicholas Rigby

The under-the-gun player raised to 1,200, Martin Malone flatted in early position, and Nicholas Rigby three-bet shoved all in for 11,300 in late position, putting himself at risk. Under the gun, who covered both of his opponents, reshoved to isolate and Malone made the call, who had 24,600 to start the hand.

Nicholas Rigby: JJ All in
Martin Malone: QQ All in
Under the gun: 1010

The board ran out 97Q910, and Malone scooped both the main and side pots with a full house, queens full of nines.

Another deep run in the Main Event was not in the cards for Rigby this year, who was sent to the rail.

Matakis Loses a Battle of the Blinds

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

The small blind limped in and Ian Matakis raised to 1,400 out of the big blind.

After it was checked to him on the 439 flop, Matakis bet 1,300 and his opponent called.

The J appeared on the turn and both players checked. The small blind bet 3,000 on the Q river and Matakis snap-called. The small blind showed AJ for a pair of jacks to win the pot.

Kelly Lucas was seen vacating the tournament at another table and has been eliminated from the Main Event.

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

With an already big pot brewing to the J9610 turn, Thomas Pomponio bet 22,000 into around 27,000. Sean McDonald went into the tank and called for most of his stack behind. Pomponio then bet 25,000 on the 6 river, and McDonald called to get shown the JJ for jacks full, flashing his AA before heading to the rail.

"Easy game," Humberto Brenes chimed in with a smile on his face.
