Harmon Having Fun While Winning

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

David Harmon is clearly enjoying his Day 1d experience if two straight hands are an indication.

He sniffed out a bluff in the first hand, even needled his opponent on the river.

“Come on, find the bluff,” Harmon said with a chuckle.

And that’s what his opponent did by firing into the pot with air, only to be snap-called by Harmon, who had third pair on the board. And it was the winner.

“You tried to bluff me,” Harmon said to his opponent across the table.

On the very next hand, Harmon, who was in the small blind, called a button raise of 1,000. The player in the big blind came along to bring about three-way action.

The dealer fanned K55 on the board, and Harmon and the player in the big blind checked. The player on the button bet, and Harmon called while the player in the big blind folded.

The K showed up on the turn, and Harmon checked. The player on the button bet 2,100, which drew a response from Harmon.

“You have aces?” Harmon asked, and then he quickly called.

The dealer placed 8 on the river, and the action went consecutive checks.

“I got it, I got it,” Harmon said as he tabled 53.

The player on the button immediately mucked his hand.

Atkin Flops a Set in Three-Bet Pot

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

James Atkin opened in early position and the cutoff called before Greg Todtman three-bet to 5,100 on the button. Both Atkin and the cutoff made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of QJ3 and all three players checked to see the A on the turn. The action checked the Todtman once again and he fired a bet of 6,600. Only Atkin made the call.

When the 4 completed the board on the river, Atkin checked and Todtman went into the tank. After about 30 seconds, he decided to tap the table.

Atkin rolled JJ for a set of jacks and Todtman showed AK for two pair.

"Good check," Said Atkin as he pulled in the pot.
