There were around 50,000 chips in the pot on a board of 2♣Q♦K♠A♣ then Mihael Jeraj checked it over to Calvin Lee, who fired a bet of 16,000. Jeraj then check-raised to 40,000, which sent Lee into the tank. After a long time thinking, Lee elected to fold.

A player in middle position faced a decision after limping in for 1,200, as Kevin Kanda moved all in for his remaining 11,700.

After a few moments of table banter, the player in middle position called to put Kanda at risk.

Opponent: A♦7♣

“I have the over and the lucky seven,” Kanda’s opponent said.

Neither arrived, however, as the dealer ran out a board of 4♣8♦8♣Q♠5♠ to give Kanda a full double up and much-needed chips.

The two opponents gave each other a fist bump after the hand.

The turn was the J♥. It checked to Engel who fired out 32,000 which got both opponents to fold slowly.

A pot of more than 80,000 emerged to the K♣10♦7♥10♠ turn on which a trio of players checked to see the K♦ river for free.

Daniel Weinman checked and Bijan Shapouri did so in the cutoff. Shoichiro Tamaki then bet 40,000 on the button and Weinman folded after brief consideration. Shapouri pondered only for a few seconds and jammed, Tamaki instantly called.

Shapouri had the K♥J♥ and Tamaki chopped with his A♠K♠.

In four-way action to the J♠4♦2♦ flop, it checked to Karen Boyd and she pushed all-in for around 35,000. Silvio Costa in the hijack folded while Benjamin Winsor in the cutoff reluctantly called for around 25,000, Michael Turello also folded out of the blinds as well.

Hart Spikes the Turn to Bust Kortas

Brent Hart was in middle position and three-bet to 7,500. Ghattas Kortas then four-bet to 22,000 under the gun and Hart called.

The flop came 5♥6♦8♦ and Kortas bet 12,000. Hart called to the J♠ turn, where Kortas bet 35,000 leaving himself just one chip behind. Hart moved all in and Kortas put in his last chip.

Hart turned over J♣J♦ for a turned set and Kortas slammed down A♠A♦. The river was the Q♦ and Hart secured the pot to send Kortas to the rail.

"What can I do? Some people are just luckier than others," Kortas said.

"If you shove the flop I fold," Hart, who won his first WSOP bracelet earlier this summer, replied.
