Nguyen Flops Top Pair Against Foxen

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On a board of J795, there were around 12,000 chips in the pot when Manh Nguyen bet 5,000 from the small blind, and Alex Foxen raised to 16,000 seated in middle position. Nguyen called.

A 4 completed the board and Nguyen checked, and Foxen instantly checked back.

Nguyen tabled AJ for top pair with an ace kicker, and Foxen checked his cards once more before tossing them into the muck.

Teh Flops the Nuts and Gets Paid

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action folded to Natalie Teh on the button, and she raised to 4,000. Danielle Andersen in the small blind then three-bet to 13,000. After the big blind folded, Teh made the call to see a flop.

The flop came 58J and Andersen bet 11,000, which Teh called.

The turn was the 7 and Andersen fired out a bet of 21,000, and Teh again made the call.

Andersen checked to Teh after the 8 hit the river. Teh then bet all in for 54,000. After debating her decision for about a minute, Andersen made the call.

Teh tabled A10 for a flopped flush, as Andersen mucked her hand, giving Teh the double up.

Adam Friedman
Adam Friedman

Action was on the turn with a pot of at least 65,000 on a board of 9A9A. Ryosuke Sakai bet 26,500 from the cutoff and Adam Friedman came along with the call to swell the pot more.

The river was the 10. Friedman checked and Sakai checked behind after moment.

Friedman tabled the AJ for aces full as he took the nice pot to bring his stack back towards the very top of the counts after it had taken a slight dip in the early part of the level.

Theologis Doubles Through Kuo With Straight Over Straight

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Alex Theologis and Kitty Kuo were heads-up on a flop of 24K. Theologis was in the big blind and check-called a 5,000 bet from Kuo.

Both players checked on the A turn and then Theologis overbet the pot for 32,000 after the 3 completed the board.

Kuo announced she was all in and Theologis quickly called all in for 147,000 total.

Kuo held 54 for a five-high straight, but it was no good against Theologis' 56 for the nuts — sending the massive pot Theologis' way.

Hutter Correctly Folds Kings

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

On the PokerGo stream, there was a big preflop set up hand. Robert Eichele picked up QQ and raised to 3,500. Sandrine Phan woke up with the AA and flatted. Barry Hutter looked down at the KK on the button and three bet to 12,000.

Eichele then four-bet to 29,000. Phan played with her chips while deciding on the next action before she five-bet to 63,500.

Hutter then took close to a minute before releasing his pocket kings, only surrendering six big blinds to the pot. Eichele then foled his queens after thinking for a while as the players went on the break after the hand.

Ethan Yau
Ethan Yau

Ethan Yau raised from early position which got the action to fold around to Marco Petrusch in the big blind, who shoved for around 15,000. Yau snap-called.

Marco Petrusch: A8 All in
Ethan Yau: QQ

Petrusch was behind but was momentarily ahead when the dealer showed an A in the window, after a few seconds pause, rest of the flop was revealed with the Q5 giving Yau a set.

Petrusch did pick up some outs on the 8 turn but the 4 river wasn't what he needed, which meant he was eliminated in the closing level of Day 2d.

Lech Finds The Hero Call

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Lech called in the small blind and another player checked his option in the big blind.

The flop rolled out 964 and Lech bet 2,500 which his opponent called.

Both players checked the Q turn to the K river where Lech checked over to his opponent who bet 5,000 which had Lech squirming in his chair uncomfortably.

After some thought, Lech tossed in a single chip and his opponent whipped his cards into the muck frustrated. The WSOP bracelet winner took down the pot without any showdown necessary.
