Jonathan Tamayo raised to 1,600,000 in the cutoff and Joe Serock called in the big blind.
Both players checked to the river on a board of 8♦7♣3♥K♦6♣. Serock then led out for 3,000,000 and Tamayo called.
Serock showed Q♣8♥ for a pair of eights and Tamayo mucked.
Gabriel Moura opened to 1,600,000 and Gerardo Hernandez three-bet jammed a stack of 18,000,000. Moura called off with a stack of 14,200,000.

Moura picked up aces at the right time and improved on the flop of 6♦A♦7♥. The 8♦ turn left Hernandez with backdoor outs, but the J♠ river bricked off to earn Moura a double.
Charles Russell limped in under the gun before Diogo Coelho raised to 2,800,000 in the cutoff. Jason Sagle then three-bet to 7,300,000 on the button.
Russell came back with a four-bet to 16,000,000 and Coelho moved all in for 26,200,000. Sagle got out of the way, snap-folding A♦K♠ before Russell called to create a more than 60,000,000 chip pot.

Russell had run right into Coelho's aces with most of his stack in the middle. The A♣10♣2♣ flop was a disaster for the Scotsman as Coelho made top set. The turn was the 10♠ and Coelho improved to a full house to leave Russell drawing dead heading to the 9♥ river.
Coelho doubled up in a massive pot, vaulting himself into the chip lead while leaving Russell on an extremely short stack.
Malcolm Franchi opened to 1,600,000 on the button and then called with the covering stack after Yake Wu moved all in for 9,800,000 out of the small blind.

It was a flip with massive implications for tournament equity. Wu maintained his slender lead on the A♣6♣7♣ flop but the K♥ turn paired up Franchi to leave Wu with one foot out the door. The 2♠ river changed nothing, sending Wu to the rail in 20th place.
Jason Sagle limped in and Jason James then raised to 3,200,000 in the hijack for Sagle to call.
On the A♠Q♥J♦ flop, Sagle check-raised from 2,000,000 to 4,000,000 for James to call.
Sagle's bet of 3,500,000 on the 8♦ turn won the pot uncontested.
Diogo Coelho raised to 1,600,000 under the gun and Joe Serock called in the big blind.
The flop came 9♠7♠6♠ and Coelho bet 1,000,000. Serock then raised to 3,200,000 and Coelho quickly folded.

One hand later, Russell raised to 1,500,000 out of the small blind and Andres Gonzalez let go from the big blind before they headed off on a 20-minute break.
Gerardo Hernandez opened to 1,200,000 with Q♠8♠ and Kristen Foxen called in the small blind with 4♠4♦.
Foxen checked on the flop of 4♣10♦Q♥ and Hernandez continued for 900,000. Foxen called.
The 10♠ turn then checked through and Foxen bet 6,200,000 on the 5♠ river. Hernandez called and Foxen showed the winner to take down the pot.
