Kanit Down to Crumbs

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit, in early position, opened to 16,000. Ronald Sullivan flatted in the hijack, before the players instantly faced a three-bet from cutoff Jordan Siegel, to the tune of 52,000. Action folded round to Kanit, who promptly shoved for his remaining 246,000 chips.

Sullivan postured, before placing in his remaining 218,000, and Siegel reluctantly relinquished his cards, before Sullivan revealed his perfectly set trap.

Paur Claims the Pot with Two Pair on a Tricky Board

Level 16 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Taylor Paur opened the action from the hijack with a raise to 16,000 and picked up two callers: Josh Reichard in the cutoff and Yifu He in the big blind.

The flop came 8JA, and all three players opted to check.

On the 9 turn, Paur took the lead with a bet of 40,000. Reichard gave it some thought before making the call, while He quickly check-folded.

The K river slowed the action down as Paur carefully checked. Reichard checked behind, and the hand went to showdown. Paur revealed J9 for two pair, jacks and nines, enough to claim the pot on a fairly dangerous board.

Rabichow Eliminated

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Artem Metalidi opened under the gun, and Gabriel Andrade called in early position. Frank Brannan then went all in from the small blind, and Kevin Rabichow called all in from the big blind for very few remaining chips.

Metalidi thought for a while, and the idea of potentially collecting a bounty seemed to entice him. He eventually folded as did Andrade.

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The J85 flop took away some of Wong’s outs, before the 6 turn gifted him a whole lot more. However, the 6 on the river helped him not.

Wood Doubles Through Sitbon

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Brice Wood moved all in for his last 69,000 chips from middle position, and the action folded around to Julien Sitbon in the big blind. After a brief moment of consideration, Sitbon made the call.

Brice Wood: A4All in
Julien Sitbon: 82

The flop came 564, giving Sitbon some backdoor possibilities, but the K turn and J river brought no improvement. “One more,” Sitbon said to the dealer with a grin, but it was Wood who scored the double-up.
