Dan Picks the Wrong Fight with Wisbrod

Jeremy Dan raised to 5,000 from the hijack and Barak Wisbrod defended from the big blind. The flop fell A♣Q♦7♣ and Wisbrod checked to Dan who bet 7,000. Wisbrod check-raised to 20,000 and Dan countered with a three-bet to 52,000. Wisbrod called and the 4♥ landed on the turn.

Wisbrod checked to Dan who announced a bet of 28,000 and Wisbrod jammed all in as the bigger stack. Dan burned through one of his time banks and then released his cards.

Justin Saliba raised it from the hijack and Chris Brewer reraised to 18,000 out of the big blind. Saliba called and they went heads-up to a flop of Q♣7♣3♠.

Brewer led out with a bet of 13,000 and Saliba called to see the 8♦ on the turn. Brewer fired out another bet of 30,000 and that was enough to force Saliba out of the hand.

With 13,000 chips and a full board in the middle showing 4♥K♥4♣5♦8♠, sparks started to fly.

Yuya Kita had put out a bet of 70,000 in front of him, having raised a bet from Brian Breck.

Breck responded by moving all in for 147,000. Kita was not happy with his situation and used two time banks before making a call.

Kita received the bad news that his opponent had rivered the one outer to take the lead.

The stacks were incredibly close to even, but once the dealer counted them down, Kita got more bad news: he had slightly fewer chips and was out of the tournament.

Adrian Mateos raised to 4,500 from the hijack and was called by Dario Sammartino on the button and Julien Sitbon in the big blind. The flop fell A♠K♠Q♦ and Mateos continued with a bet of 4,000. Sammartino called and Sitbon quickly stepped aside.

The turn was the 6♦ and Mateos fired out another bet of 16,000. Sammartino tagged along and the 10♣ completed the board. Mateos led out with a small bet of just 6,000 and Sammartino looked him up. Mateos flipped over A♦K♣ for top two pair and Sammartino couldn't beat it.

A check from McKeehen on the A♣ river led to a big bet of 90,000 from Kaverman. McKeehen folded as Kaverman dragged the pot.

The turn was the A♥, and Barbero checked again. Funaro sized up a bet of 16,000 and Barbero stuck around for the 9♣ on the river. Barbero checked for the third time, and Funaro reached back for a bet of 54,500, leaving just 500 behind. Barbero deliberated and then called, only to be shown Q♣J♠ by Funaro for a rivered straight.
