Tyler Cornell raised to 3,500 from the cutoff before he faced a raise from Tauan Naves to 15,000 from the small blind. Cornell chose to three-bet to 40,000, and Naves called to send it a flop.
Naves check-called the 20,000 bet from Cornell on the 2♣8♥10♥ board.
The 10♣ turn led to another check from Naves. Cornell led out for 50,000 and was called by Naves.
A check from Naves occurred on the 4♦ river before Cornell announced he was all in.
Naves pondered his situation before he folded.
Romain Lewis opened to 3,500 from under the gun and Anatoly Nikitin three-bet to 10,000 on his left. David Peters stuck in a four-bet to 28,000 from the small blind, which got Lewis to fold, but Nikitin called.
The flop fell A♦Q♠9♦ and Peters continued with a bet of 16,000, which Nikitin called. The turn was the 6♠ and both players checked to the 9♣ on the river. Peters checked again and Nikitin moved out a bet of 75,000. Peters looked back at his cards and then slid them to the muck, sending the pot to Nikitin.
Marius Gierse opened under the gun to 3,500 before Mike Shi, on the button, three-bet to 10,500. Stephen Chidwick sensed an opportunity and four-bet to 29,000.
Both players instantly folded, getting Chidwick back to his starting stack.
With around 50,000 in the middle already, Fabrizio Gonzalez and Chris Brewer were left heads-up on a flop of 7♥3♣2♥. Gonzalez made a bet of 15,500 and Brewer shoved all in for his last 95,000 chips. Gonzalez used a time bank and then called it off.
Chris Brewer: 9♠9♦
Fabrizio Gonzalez: 5♥4♥
Brewer had an overpair to the board but Gonzalez was working with a combo draw. The K♠ on the turn and the J♣ on the river both bricked out, giving Brewer a double up and leaving Gonzalez short.
Wai Kiat Lee was heads-up with Andrew Ostapchenko in a pot of around 15,000. The flop came 9♣4♦2♦ and Lee led out with a bet of 6,000 from the cutoff. Ostapchenko raised on the button and Lee shipped all in as the big stack. Ostapchenko called off his stack of 120,000 and the cards were tabled.
Andrew Ostapchenko: 6♦5♦
Wai Kiat Lee: J♣J♦
Lee was ahead with his overpair, but Ostapchenko had straight and flush draws to hit. The 9♠ paired the board on the turn and the 3♦ peeled off on the river to give Ostapchenko a straight flush and a double up.
