Deeb's Rollercoaster Comes to a Halt

Level 9 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Freddy Deeb
Freddy Deeb

Play has only just kicked off, and in the first four hands of the day, Freddy Deeb was amongst the action in all four of them, being all-in and at risk in three of them!

The first hand of the day saw a button open to 22,000, which Deeb responded to by moving all in from the small blind. His opponent folded, and Deeb took the pot.

The very next hand, Deeb raised to 25,000 from the button. Anatoly Nikitin called in the big blind, and the pair saw a flop of 98J.

The flop checked around, and Nikitin led out on the 6 turn for 35,000. Deeb called. Nikitin led out again on the 3 for 80,000. Deeb called again but was shown the bad news: Nikitin had flopped the nuts with Q10.

Left with just 8 big blinds, Deeb moved all in on the next hand. Aliaksandr Shylko snapped in the big blind.

Freddy Deeb: QJ All in
Aliaksandr Shylko: AA

The board ran out 9QJK5, giving Deeb the unexpected double up.

Time for a breather? No.

The very next hand, Deeb moved all in again. This time, Nikitin only called.

Freddy Deeb: AJ All in
Anatoly Nikitin: 88

The flop was promising for Deeb, coming A23. The turn looked good to, the 4.

Deeb called for a five, for a split pot, but it was worse. The river 8 awarded his opponent the pot.

A rollercoaster to start the day and Deeb headed to the exit.

Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

Vitalijs Zavorotnijs made it 20,000 from the hijack before Stephen Chidwick jammed for roughly 240,000 from the cutoff. After getting a count from the dealer, Zavorotnijs called.

Stephen Chidwick: QJ All in
Vitalijs Zavorotnijs: AJ

Chidwick was dominated by Zavorotnijs heading to the J105 flop, where both players hit top pair. The K turn and 2 river didn't help Chidwick, and all of his chips were sent over to Zavorotnijs.

Bleznick Disbelief

Level 9 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

We joined the action with the cards on their back and Charles Thomas all in at risk versus Jared Bleznick.

The players already had a flop out in front of them showing 210J

Charles Thomas: KQ All in
Jared Bleznick: AA

The turn A was just what Thomas was looking for, and the river 9 was overkill, giving him a six-card straight.

Bleznick jumped out of his seat with his head in his hands, but didn't take too long to congratulate his opponent.
