Lee and Kisacikoglu Lock Horns in Big Pot

Level 4 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Orpen Kisacikoglu
Orpen Kisacikoglu

Chang Lee raised from the button and Orpen Kisacikoglu defended his big blind, and then check-called Lee's 9,000 continuation bet on the K9J flop.

The turn brought in the Q, which put four to a straight on the board. Kisacikoglu checked. Lee sized up to 110,000, forcing Kisacikoglu to mull over his options. The bracelet winner settled on a call.

The Q river then paired the board, prompting a third check from Kisacikoglu, who had around 420,000 behind. Lee continued with his aggression, counting out 375,000. He slid those chips into the middle.

Kisacikoglu used up a time bank, and called.

"Jack," said Lee who appeared a bit unwilling to table his hand. However he did eventually show his J8.

Kisacikoglu tabled K10 for a straight and moved above 1,000,000 chips.

Wisbrod Adds to His Stack

Level 4 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Mathew Belcher raised under the gun to 10,000, and only Barak Wisbrod chose to call, defending his big blind.

Belcher continued betting on the A9J board, after Wisbrod checked to him. He threw out a bet of 10,000, which Wisbrod called.

Wisbrod changed the flow of things on the J turn, leading into his opponent for 15,000. Belcher wasn't ready to forfeit his position as the aggressor, though, and raised to 55,000. Wisbrod proceeded with a call.

That was where the betting came to an end, both players choosing to check the K river.

Wisbrod turned over J10, turned trips, which was enough to entitle him to the pot. No cards were shown by Belcher, as he returned them face down to the dealer.

Jensen Risks It All

Level 4 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Gregory Jensen raised from the button before Jesse Lonis three-bet to 85,000. Jensen responded by moving all in for 511,000.

Lonis, the bigger stack, agonized over his decision, using three time banks. He looked over Jensen's way, with his opponent lookiing down at the table.

In the end, Lonis let his hand go.

Vogelsang Back Raise

Level 4 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Nick Petrangelo raised from early position to 12,000, was called by Christoph Vogelsang on the button, and Chang Lee re-raised to 93,000 from the small blind.

Petrangelo folded and Vogelsang back-raised all-in for 290,000. After a bit of deliberation, Lee folded.

Ponakovs Rivers Lingham

Level 4 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Aleksejs Ponakovs raised in early position, and only Vinny Lingham chose to call, putting in the 10,000 from the cutoff.

Ponakovs chose to check the K109 flop, but Lingham wasn't interested in giving his opponent a free turn card. Instead, he bet 15,000, which Ponakovs called.

Ponakovs check-called another bet of 30,000 on the turn 2 before the river rolled off a third heart. Ponakovs again elected to check, and Lingham, who didn't like the look of the river, checked behind.

Lingham was correct with his suspicions as Ponakovs showed A3 for a rivered flush. A dismayed Lingham then showed the table that he had flopped the nut straight with queen-jack, receiving some plaudits from his tablemates for not losing more chips on the river.

Aram Oganyan

Joining the hand with roughly 230,000 in the middle and a full board showing 8105QQ, Aram Oganyan and Sean Winter were locked in battle.

Oganyan was the first to act, and he put Winter deep into the tank with a bet of 411,000, leaving himself just 15,000 behind.

"This is never a fold, but you are just never bluffing here", Winter said.

"I beat value though", he said, before flicking in a chip to call.

Oganyan turned over the 76 for a failed bluff. Winter showed AQ, as he scooped in a bit pot and left Oganyan with just three big blinds.

Theologis Runs into the Nuts Twice

Level 4 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Alexandros Theologis
Alexandros Theologis

David Peters raised from under the gun, picking up calls from Alexandros Theologis and Matthew Belcher from the next two seats. Nacho Barbero and Fahredin Mustafov called from the button and big blind respectively.

The 842 flop checked through to the J turn, where Peters bet 16,000 into a pot of 63,000. Theologis was the only caller.

The 7 completed the board and Peters checked. Theologis bet 75,000, and was then put at risk for most of his stack as Peters jammed for 525,000. Theologis thought it over, eventually declaring a call.

Peters tabled 109 for the nut straight. Theologis had 65 for the second nuts and was reduced to his last 50,000.

Shortly after, Belcher opened from under the gun, and Theologis defended his big blind.

Theologis put in his last six big blinds on the 10x9x8x rainbow flop, and was snapped.

Theologis had Ax9x but ran into Belcher's QxJx which flopped the nuts. The board bricked out and Theologis departed for the second and final time.
