Essad Keeps Climbing

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Action went four-ways to a flop of KKJ in a limped pot. It checked over to Ernest Essad in the cutoff who bet 175,000 and only Florian Ribouchon called in the small blind.

The 8 turn went check-check, bringing the 10 river. Ribouchon checked and Essad fired out a bet of 275,000.

Ribouchon thought for a moment before giving up his hand.

Cowen Makes a Big Turn Raise

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

James Cheung raised from under the gun to 125,000. Robert Cowen called from the cutoff, and Ernest Essad also made the call from the button, and everyone else got out of the way.

The flop came down with Q6J and everyone checked.

On the turn 7, Qibang Cheung placed a delayed continuation-bet of 175,000, and Cowen went into the think tank and popped it up to 600,000 with authority. Everyone folded, and Cowen scooped a nice pot.

Buchman Battles Back

Level 25 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

With Ernest Essad applying the pressure, the game was getting tight for Eric Buchman. He was down to less than 200,000 chips and to call Essad's latest bet and lost the hand he would be out of the tournament.

He folded.

The very next hand, he got it all in against James Cheung.

Eric Buchman: JJ106All in
James Cheung: A765

Buchman hit a set of jacks on the flop and after the full board runout 4AJ27, that was still the best hand. And Buchman had new life.

The action started before any cards were shown, Florian Ribouchon bet 100,000 from the cutoff and Luteng Li called from the big blind position.

For the first three streets the players saw KK4. Li checked to Ribouchon threw out a bet of 75,000. Li made the call.

A turn card hit J Li checked and Ribouchon bet 150,000. Li tanked for a short moment but cut out the call from his decreasing chip stack and threw it into the pot.

A seemingly harmless river of Q peeled off on the river and Li checked again, Ribouchon moved all in and after a minute Yu made the call.
