Chan Wins Multi-Way Pot

On a pot of around 7,000, five players were waiting for the flop to get dealt - blinds Michelle Dimaunahan and Samara Alexandre, Jennifer Mcintyre and Monica Chan in late position and Jenelle Exner on the button.

The flop came 9♣Q♦K♠ and all of them checked. The turn 8♥ fell and with action checked to her, Mcintyre bet 2,500 and got one caller in Chan.

They both saw the river drop 10♥. Mcintyre bet 2,500 and Chan went beyond and made it 7,500. Without hesitation, Mcintyre surrendered her hand and the pot to Chan.

Tammy Ehrhart raised from early position to 2,000, Marsha Wolak called from middle position, and Haven Taylor, who was the top female player in her home province of Alberta, Canada for the last two years, called from the big blind. The flop was 3♦J♦J♠, and Taylor checked, while Ehrhart continued with 3,500, receiving a snap call from Wolak and a fold from Taylor.

Ehrhart wondered out loud, "Wow, a snap call".

The turn 5♠ received a check from both players.

Both players also checked the river K♣.

Ehrhart turned over 7♠7♥ and Wolak stated, "Nice hand" and flipped over 6♥6♦

Patricia Moore opened in middle position for 2,000 and got called by both Clare Schlotter in late and Liina Vark in the big blind.

The flop came 10♣9♦6♥. All three knuckled to see a free turn.

The turn A♦ dropped and after a check, Moore continued with 2,5000 and got called by Schlotter. Vark folded.

Both players checked the 8♠ river. Schlotter showed A♠Q♦ prompting Moore to muck her hand.

Aoi Oyama opened for 1,600 in middle position and got called by big blind player Tammy Wing. Both players saw the flop drop 4♦5♠2♠.

They checked all the way through the turn A♠. Wing checked the river J♠ prompting Oyama to bet 1,600. Wing called and tabled J♥J♣. Oyama showed K♦K♠.

Thinking she won the pot with a set of jacks, Wing scooped the pot pushed toward her, but Oyama stopped her before she added it to her chips. Oyama informed her that she won with a one card flush and Wing graciously let go of the chips for Oyama to take.

Izzi instantly turned the tables when she spiked a pair on the flop 6♥J♥9♦. The turn 10♠ maintained her lead but also gave Howard a gutshot straight draw. The river 8♠ completed Howard's straight. Howard scooped the pot for a double.
