In a three-way pot, the flop read Q♥K♣10♠ when Susan Murphey checked to Christine Asuncion who bet 1,500. Only Danielle Laiken seated on the button called.
The turn brought the 9♣ and both checked to see a 7♣ on the river. Asuncion sent 5,000 in the middle, putting pressure on Laiken who only had 5,300 left and the latter folded.

In a heads-up pot, Ellen Smith check-called Jacqueline Berenson for 1,200 on a flop Q♣K♣K♥. On the 4♠ turn, the same action happened this time for 2,100.
The river was the 7♠ and Smith checked again. Berenson bet 5,000 and Smith didn't take long to call, showing Q♦2♥ for two pair. Berenson sent her cards into the muck.

The hand was in progress with Camille Brown all-in on the cutoff for 13,400. The board showed 10♦4♥3♠Q♣7♦ and the pot was around 12,000 chips. Action was on Ruth Graham, who was taking her time to consider her options.
After some time, she made the call, prompting Brown to table her hand to show A♣J♥ for ace-high. Graham showed 9♣9♠ and scooped the pot as Brown left the table to re-enter.

Action was picked up on the river with a board of 5♥Q♦10♦8♣A♣, Pamela Maldonado had moved all in for 14,000, and Haruka Murata was asking for a count. Murata made the call. The pot was about 20,000.

Trishelle Cannatella opened to 800 under the gun and got two callers in Quyen Hoang to her immediate left and Miranda Fullenbach in the big blind.
The trio saw the flop drop 9♠Q♣10♠ and checked. Cannatella went for a bet on the turn 3♠ after action was passed to her. Hoang called, but Fullenbach got out of the way.
On the river 9♣, Cannatella continued the pressure with a 4,000 bet, sending Hoang to the tank. Hoang went into deep thought, separating the 4,000 chips and shuffling it. She finally let go of her hand and put the chips back to her stack.
The dealer pushed the pot towards Cannatella as others wondered what her hole cards were.

The board already showed 3♥A♠6♥10♣ when Maureen Feduniak checked to Juliet Hegedus who bet 6,000. Feduniak replied by going all in for 16,100 and Hegedus called for the following showdown:

Feduniak stayed ahead with the 2♣ river and took down the pot and the double up.

Veronica Brill, who is known to bring the fun to the table, raised from under the gun to 600, Amy Mynderse called from middle position, Catherine Costantini called from late position, and Tabatha Hilliard called from the small blind. The flop came out with Q♣7♥9♣, and everyone checked.
On the turn 8♣, Hilliard checked, Brill checked, and Mynderse placed a bet of 1,100. Everyone folded except Constatini, who made the call.
The river 10♣ had both players check, and Minderse flopped over K♦10♥ for a pair of tens, and Constantini showed K♠J♣ for the flush.
Also at this table is Shiina Okamoto, who won this event last year.

Both had a gutshot straight draw on the flop of 9♠J♠10♣ and both hit the board with Laiken catching top pair against Serfaty's mid-pair. The runout 4♦2♦ didn't complete any of their draws. Laiken scooped the pot as she empathized with Serfaty going on a showdown with her.
