Compton Flops Trips

Kelly Slay opened to 1,200 in middle position and got called by Shannon Stash to her immediate left and Cynthia Compton in the big blind.

The dealer fanned out 828 and after action was checked to her, Stash bet 2,000. Compton called and Slay folded.

On the turn 5, Compton check-raised to 9,000 after Stash bet 4,000. Both players checked the river 9.

Compton tabled A8 for trips on the flop while Stash showed 77. The dealer awarded the pot to Compton.

Hoang continued with 2,500 after a check. Chaput stayed on. Both players checked the 3 turn.

On the river 2, Chaput decided to lead out with a 5,200 bet. Hoang raised it to 15,000 sending Chaput to think about her options. She eventually conceded both her hand and the pot to Hoang.

Aoi Oyama raised from the button to 2,000 and received a call from the small blind, Megan Collins, and the big blind, Shiina Okamoto. The flop arrived with Q74 and everyone checked.

On the turn 10 Collins moved all in for her last 6,300, Okamoto folded, and Oyama made the call.

The river 10 did not help Collins, and Oyama won with a pair of tens with ace high, as Collins did not hit her straight draw.
