All Four Kings Accounted For

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Chin Wei Lim
Chin Wei Lim

There was an early position raise to 1,200, and a middle position call before Niklas Astedt three-bet to 5,100 from the button. Chin Wei Lim then elected to cold four-bet from the small blind to 14,500, and when action folded back to Astedt, he called.

Lim continued for 8,000 on the 439 flop, and Astedt called again.

The dealer provided the 8 turn, and Lim had no thoughts of slowing down. He placed another wager, this time for a more substantial 22,000. Undeterred, Astedt called to see a river card.

The river 7 gave both players pause for thought. Lim counted his stack, had a look at his opponent and then chose to check. Astedt went through a similar routine with his stack before electing to check back.

Lim flipped over KK, which was not enough to win the pot outright, as Astedt revealed he had the other two kings, rolling over KK.

Lim and Astedt shared a chuckle as the dealer apportioned the pot between the two players.

Small Pairs Are Hot

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Shazmann Malek and Benjamin Duronio saw a flop of 9310 when Malek bet 2,000 from middle position. Duronio then raised to 6,600 in the small blind and Malek called.

Duronio bet another 7,000 on the 5 turn and Malek again called. Duronio slowed down and checked the A river, and Malek quickly checked back.

Duronio showed 33 for a set, and Malek mucked.

"Threes and fours, man," tablemate Rahil Gaulani said.

Vuilleumier Slowly Builds

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Felipe Ketzer opened to 1,200 from the hijack and Alexandre Vuilleumier called from the button. Harold Hauck defended the big blind and the players went three-ways to the flop.

The Q54 flop saw Hauck check. Ketzer bet 1,700, Vuilleumier called and Hauck folded.

Both checked the 5 turn, to see the 4 river.

The players flipped their cards with no more betting and Ketzer was sitting with J8. Vuilleumier took the small pot with his ace as he was holding A2.

Ward Doubles Through Guelpa's Bluff

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Catching the action on a 746 flop, Martin Ward from early position checked to Stephane Guelpa, who bet 5,600, about the size of the pot.

Ward called to the K turn, which he also checked. Guelpa then put him all-in, and Ward snap-called for 18,300.

Martin Ward: 66 All in
Stephane Guelpa: A9

Guelpa's ace-high was drawing dead against the set of Ward. Guelpa complimented his opponent's call as the K river upgraded Ward to a full house, officially doubling him up.

Joseph Doubles up Frazee.... Again

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Marc Joseph
Marc Joseph

Three players were still with cards on a flop that read 8JQ when Marc Joseph checked his action over to David Frazee. Frazee shoved his remaining 16,200 into a pot of 29,100, putting David Litvinoff in a huge spot. "Sorry guys," he said to the table due to the length of his tank, and eventually gave up his cards. Joseph flicked in a chip.

David Frazee: KK All in
Marc Joseph: AQ

Joseph was drawing slim, and couldn't beat Frazee's flush on the J9 runout, doubling him up in a second consecutive level. Caroline Schallock, in between the two, let them know that she had folded a hand that would've hit a straight flush, as Litvinoff said that he was "glad [he] folded."

Hiroi Digs Her Heels In

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Damian Gibbs raised to 1,300 on the button, and only Yukako Hiroi called, defending her big blind.

Hiroi check-called a bet of 1,100 on the 9Q4 flop, and did the same on the flush completing A turn, this time for a larger 2,300.

The river Q put a fourth diamond on the board, and when Hisoi checked for a third time, Gibbs checked behind.

Hiroi showed her 66, which had improved to a six-high flush. Gibbs, unable to beat that, returned his cards to the dealer face down.
