Lardner Waits Under the River

All three players checked the flop and 4 turn. Action then checked around to Lardner on the 5 river and he bet 4,200 from the button.

Sammer tanked for several minutes in early position before folding, while Zuspan also took his time but eventually called in the cutoff. Lardner turned over K9 for top pair and Zuspan mucked..

False Start for Hennigan

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Gustavo Barbero limped in the hijack before a raise by John Hennigan, in the cutoff, to 800. Action folded back to Barbero, who made the call.

The flop 210K saw Barbero check-call another bet of 800, before he check-called again on the 4 turn, this time for 3,100.

Barbero decided to take over the betting lead himself on the 7 river, putting out 7,200. Hennigan made the call but was shown immediate bad news, as Barbero rolled over 22 for a flopped set. Henningan mucked and this early pot was pushed in the direction of Barbero.

"Did You Get That?"; Zeidman Snaps Off Romano For an Early Double

Robert Zeidman and Fernando Romano went heads-up to a flop of 663 with around 5,000 in the pot. Romano then bet 4,000 from the button and Zeidman called in the cutoff.

The turn was the A and Romano bet another 7,500. Zeidman again called and the 8 fell on the river.

Zeidman then led out for 5,000 and Romano quickly moved all in.

"Did you get that?" Zeidman asked the gathering media, before he snap-called for 41,700, turning over 66 for quads. Romano tossed 1010 into the muck and Zeidman earned an early double up.

Berens Check-Raises Stacked Table

Niklas Astedt raised to 500 in the cutoff. Ryan Hoenig called on the button, and Katie Berens defended her big blind.

Berens checked to Astedt on the Q76 flop, who continued for 600. Hoenig called before Berens squeezed in a raise to 2,200. Astedt quickly folded, and Hoenig followed suit to see the pot shipped to Berens without contest.

Luka Bojovic was also seated at this table, having slightly chipped up from the starting stack of 60,000.

Allen Raises the River

Michael Dwyer opened to 600 under the gun before cutoff player Daniel Allen three-bet to 1,400. Joseph Linville defended from the big blind, and Dwyer put in the call also.

All three players checked on the 74A flop, and did the same on the J turn. When the river brought in the 5 Linville decided to lead out for 1,300. Dwyer folded, and Allen raised to 3,800. This got a fold from Linville, who showed 1010 face up.

Shalev Muscles a Pot from Molino

Johnny Chan opened to 600 from under the gun and was three-bet to 1,600 by Mariano Molino on the button. Simon Shalev then made it 3,700 to go from the small blind, which got a fold from Chan and a call from Molino.

The flop came K39 and Shalev continued for 3,100. Molino thought it over, but eventually landed on a fold and Shalev won the pot uncontested.

Schechter quickly called, and the cards were tabled.

Mekouane Puts a Cooler on Ector

Heads-up on a flop of J4A, Khalil Ector bet 1,300 from the hijack and Jalil Mekouane called in the big blind.

The turn was the 2 and Ector bet another 2,200. Mekouane again called and the 6 fell on the river.

Ector bet 2,200 again, but this time Mekouane came back with a raise to 5,500. Ector quickly called and Mekouane showed JJ for a set.

"Oh man, that sucks," Ector said as he mucked AJ.
