Simmerman Back in it

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jianwei Lin opened up the action from early position with a raise to 2,500. Kevin Williams called from two doors down, before Austin Simmerman shoved for his remaining 14,000 from the cutoff. Simas Karaliunas called on the button, and the other two players surrendered their 2,500 to the dead money pile.

"The classic" one player at the table said as the dealer prepared the runout. It came 26210Q and despite the paint scare on the river, Simmerman held on to keep his main event dreams alive.

Halebian Gains at Lyubovetskiy's Expense

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Andriy Lyubovetskiy raised to 2,800 from the cutoff and was called by Alexios Halebian in the small blind and Breffni Smith in the big blind for a three-way pot.

It was checked to Lyubovetskiy on the 272 flop and he continued for a bet of 3,000. Halebian called and Smith folded.

Both players proceeded to check down on the 10 turn and 5 river and Halebian showed 87 for two pair. Lyubovetskiy sent his hand into the muck and Halebian put another dent into the Day 1c chip leader's stack.

Brass Turns the Jackpot to Crack Montes' Queens

Santiago Montes wasn't a happy bunny after he just lost a big pot to Corey Brass.

The chips had already flown into the middle on a runout of J3278, where Montes revealed QQ. Brass had that beat with 77 as he turned a set of sevens, which saw his stack rocket up to around 135,000.

Sonehara Busts Mccarty

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Jordan Mcallister opened from under the gun to 2,500, Kazunari Sonehara called from the cutoff and Daniel Dayan also called on the button. Diane Mccarty three-bet to 12,500 and got a single call from Sonehara.

The AJ3 flop was bet by Mccarty to 20,000 and Sonehara called.

A 3 was turned and Mccarty moved all in for her remaining 96,100 stack.

Sonehara called and showed JJ for a boat. Mccarty flipped over KK and was behind, and looked to the river for some help.

There was no King to save Mccarty on the 9 river, and she was left to walk away from the tournament.

Isla and Poullet Chops

Harry Elliott limped under the gun and Ludovic Poullet raised to 2,500 in hijack holding A10. Joel Isla, int he big blind with K10 called. Elliott called after.

The flop came 897 and all players checked. Isla led with 3,200 on the turn 6. Poullet was the only one who called.

Isla kept the pressure with a 4,800 bet on the river 8. Poullet called, and the dealer split the pot between the two of them for a straight.

Fei Falls To Popovych

Wesley Fei opened to 2,500 in late position and Serhii Popovych called on the button and in the big blind, Dario Marinelli called.

The flop rolled out 39Q and Marinelli checked over to Fei who bet 2,500 and only Popovych called.

Fei checked the 10 turn over to Popovych who bet 4,000 and Fei called.

On the river A, Fei checked over to Popovych who bet 22,200. Fei responded by moving all in for 89,500 and Popovych went into the tank for a couple minutes. Everntually Fei called the clock and Popovych made the decision to call with eight seconds left on the clock.

Cabrera Polop Continues Stacking

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Ricardo Zamora Martinez made it 2,400 from middle position. Amritraj Singh called in the cutoff, and David Cabrera Polop defended in the big blind. All three players checked the 5810 flop to the K turn.

Carbrera checked again, after which Zamora bet 4,500. Singh quickly mucked, while Carbrera called. Zamora sized up to 9,000 on the 4 river, sending Carbrera into the tank.

Eventually, he check-called again. Zamora tabled AQ for ace-high, and Carbrera raked in the pot and some compliments from the table as he had called with 106 for a pair of tens.

Damelian Leaves Kabrhel with Crumbs

Martin Kabrhel raised to 2,500 on the button and was called by Samuel Gagnon in the small blind. Roberto Damelian three-bet to 10,700 in the big blind and only Kabrhel called.

The flop came Q72 and Damelian led out with a bet of 9,000 which Kabrhel quickly called. The turn was the A and Damelian slowed down with a check. Kabrhel announced all in as the bigger stack and Damelian went into the tank. Two minutes had passed and Kabrhel called the clock. Damelian was down to his last two seconds before making the call for his stack of 32,100.

Damelian had the best hand thus far but was fading straight and flush draws from Kabrhel. The river was the K and Damelian improved to a set of kings to score a big double up and leave Kabrhel on crumbs.

The flop came 3K9. Lawrence had minimal outs to be able to crack Ball's aces. The runout of J10 didn't help Lawrence at all. Lawrence left the feature table as Ball scooped the pot.

Gross Finds the Call to Bust Rogers

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

John Gross bet 6,200 from the hijack on a flop of 8105 before Jeffrey Rogers raised to 15,000 in the big blind. Gross called and the 2 fell on the turn.

Rogers then moved all in for 16,700 and Gross tanked for a few minutes before calling. Rogers showed Q10 for top pair, but Gross had QQ.

The river was the 6 and Gross secured the pot to send Rogers to the rail.
