Manzure Hanging On

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Daemon Richardson limped from the small blind and Felipe Manzure checked the big blind, having just 26,000 behind.

Action was checked from the K9Q flop to the Q turn and 3 river.

Richardson showed A10 which was good enough for Manzure to muck, having lost the minimum from the big blind.

Brutal Cooler Leaves Holloway With Crumbs

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Chad Holloway
Chad Holloway

Chad Holloway limped from middle position and called a raise of 12,000 from Roi Sabag in the small blind.

The flop came 10Q3 and Sabag continued for 35,000. Holloway thought a bit and then announced he was all in. Sabag snap-called for his entire 136,000 and hands were revealed.

Roi Sabag: AAAll in
Chad Holloway: KK

Holloway had been trapping with kings, but found himself in trouble against Sabag's aces.

The 10 turn nor 9 river changed anything and Sabag doubled through Holloway, who was left with just 12,000 following the clash.

Holloway was seen exiting the tournament area shortly after, having been eliminated.

Mathews Puts Some Pressure On

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

John Dlubala raised under the gun to 4,500 and got calls from Sergio Barrios in early position, Graham Mathews in middle position, and Vincent Napolitano in the big blind.

The flop came 48K, Napolitano checked, and Dlubala continued for 4,500. Barrios called, as did Mathews, and Napolitano then folded.

Pentefountas Eliminated, Beecher Rues Folding

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Nicholas Beecher opened from under the gun to 4,000 and, just two seats to his left, Ioannis Pentefountas moved all in for 30,000. The action then folded to Kenneth Heaton in the cutoff, who also chose to move all in, his stack sitting at 62,000.

Beecher spent a moment deliberating but ultimately decided to part ways with his pocket jacks.

The two remaining players revealed their cards, and it transpired that Beecher had made a correct fold.

Ioannis Pentefountas: 1010 All in
Kenneth Heaton: KK

Beecher went from a man of contentment to a man of regret, as the dealer spread a 78J flop. Crucially, though, Heaton still had the lead.

It would stay that way on the 6 turn and the 8 river, sealing Pentefountas' fate, late into Day 2.

Just before their table broke, Dillon Najor clashed with Roberto Bianchi when both players rivered a flush on the 10535J board. The 62 of Najor were no good, as Bianchi had that crushed holding the AQ to score the late knockout and further rise up the leaderboard.
