Multi-Way Pot for Nguyen

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

In a multi-way pre-flop pot, the pot was at about 16,000 when the flop came 2J5 and it was checked around to Joseph Gallagher in the big blind, who bet out for 4,500. All other players folded apart from Long Nguyen in the small blind who made the call.

The turn brought the 3, and again Nguyen check-called Gallagher's 6,500 bet. Both players checked the K on the turn, and Nguyen tabled QJ for second pair and was shipped the pot.

One Pair, No Kicker

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Kevin Gerhart raised to 3,000 in the hijack and Alex Lynskey defended from the big blind. The flop came QJ4 and Lynskey check-called a bet of 3,000 from Gerhart.

The K landed on the turn and Lynskey checked again. Gerhart tossed in a bet of 8,500 and Lynskey hesitated before making the call. The 8 hit the river and both players knuckled the table. Lynskey whipped over Q2 for a pair of queens and Gerhart sent his cards into the muck.

"Don't Do It"

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Antonio Vargas raised to 3,500 and then faced a three-bet to 12,000 by Roger Fontes in the next seat, which he opted to call. They checked all the way to the K88102 river on which Vargas checked. Fontes bet 10,500 and that won the pot uncontested, as Vargas opted to fold.

"Don't do it," Vargas said when Fontes checked his cards once again - and ultimately revealed the A before stacking up the chips.

Gervin Leaves the Table in Awe

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Haruki Arita opened to 3,000 in the hijack and Sanchez Gervin three-bet to 6,000 on the button. Theo Gillis four-bet to 16,000 from the big blind and only Gervin called.

The flop fell 1044 and Gillis continued with a bet of 7,500. Gervin called and the 9 rolled off on the turn. Gillis fired out another bet of 26,000 and Gervin stuck around for the 8 on the river.

Gillis counted out a bet of 50,000 on the river and Gervin went into the tank for a couple of minutes before making the call. Gillis turned over AK for ace-high while Gervin made the call with 66. The table let out some big gasps in shock of Gervin's hero call with an underpair to the board.
