Zulker Drills a One-Outer to Knock Out Hellmuth

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Michael Zulker opened to 6,500 from under the gun and Leon Sturm called from early position. Phil Hellmuth three-bet shoved for 93,000 from the hijack, Zulker called with a covering stack and Sturm mucked 88.

Phil Hellmuth: AK All in
Michael Zulker: QQ

It was a classic race that Zulker was ahead of on the 34J flop. Hellmuth became a huge favorite after making top pair on the K turn, leaving Zulker drawing to just one out given that the Q was folded preflop. The Q river gave Zulker his one out to a set, eliminating the 17-time bracelet winner from the Main Event.

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Andy Tsai tangled with Antoine Labat and four-bet only for the latter to five-bet shove. Tsai asked for his four-bet to be pulled in to check how many chips more he had to call. That was deemed to be another 158,500 on top and Tsai eventually folded.

Another five-bet unfolded between Huabao Chen and Nishant Sharma. The former made it 66,000 to go and then folded when Sharma clicked it back to more than 130,000.

Wisbey Dodges Bullets

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The button opened and Jonathan Wisbey called in the small blind. Paul Dimascio three-bet to 26,000 from the big blind and Wisbey was the only caller.

"How does that happen?" Mallory Klaus reacted.

Jongtae Kim was in the one seat and hadn't seen Barnes' cards in the eight seat. When the dealer pulled them in, Kim reacted with the same disbelief his tablemates had shown 30 seconds earlier.

"You had aces? Wow!" Kim said.

Enjamio and Zanette Chop It Up

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
