Poker Crusher Makes Insane Ace-High Hero Call on WSOP Main Event Bubble

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Josh Reichard
Josh Reichard

“It was a spot where most people are more sane than me and wouldn’t have put their money in.”

Josh Reichard made one of the gutsiest decisions of the 2025 World Series of Poker so far, calling for his tournament life with nothing but ace-high on the stone money bubble of the $10,000 WSOP Main Event.

Already a 16-time WSOP Circuit ring winner and reigning MSPT Heart Poker Champion, Reichard came into the Main Event on a serious heater. He’d cashed in nine WSOP events this summer, including a third-place finish worth $702,360 in the controversial Millionaire Maker.

Conniff Hits a Trey to Send Ketendjian Home

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Asher Conniff raised to 30,000 on the button and Gevork Ketendjian moved all in out of the big blind for around 70,000. Conniff immediately called.

Gevork Ketendjian: A5 All in
Asher Conniff: A3

A chop looked like the most likely outcome as both players held small aces. However, the dealer produced a runout of 39QJ6 to give Conniff the best hand with a pair of treys on the flop. The pot was sent to Conniff, and Ketendjian was out.

Both players checked the 692 flop leading to the J turn. Mizrachi bet 66,000 and Christoforou called.

Naranja Runs Into a Monster

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Damon Fine raised to 24,000 in early position before Agustin Naranja three-bet to 75,000 in the cutoff. Fine then four-bet to 180,000, Naranja moved all in for 320,000, and Fine snap-called.

Agustin Naranja: AK All in
Damon Fine: AA

Fine had woken up with aces to leave Naranja at risk of elimination, but the K410 flop gave Naranja some outs with a pair. The turn was the 4, while no miracles arrived for Naranja on the 10 river and he was sent to the rail.

At the same table, Ruben Correia has built up a stack of more than 3,000,000.

Chen Digs Deep for Huge Hero Call

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The action was joined as Raoul Kanme and Yuhang Chen were contesting a pot with 374,000 already in the middle.

The full board was already dealt, showing J3710Q, and action was on Kanme, playing from the big blind.

Kanme, who had a stack of 840,000, moved all in, covering Chen's remaining stack of 448,000.

Chen went deep into the tank, but after consideration, elected to call.

Kanme tabled J8 for a pair of jacks, which could not beat Chen's turned two pair, J10.

Ong’s Flush Eliminates Jackson

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
David Jackson
David Jackson

Ronald Ong kicked things off with an under-the-gun raise to 24,000. As action folded to David Jackson in middle position, he bumped it up to 80,000, and Ong made the call.

On the 623 flop, Ong checked, and Jackson continued for 135,000, which prompted Ong to go all in. Though it put him at risk, Jackson snap-called.

David Jackson: AKAll in
Ronald Ong: QJ

Ong was chasing the flush, whilst Jackson had ace high for a possible double-up. The 10 on the turn didn't change anything, but the 9 river gave Ong the flush and sent Jackson packing.

Clifton's Stack Boosted with Double

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Action was picked up with Toby Clifton all-in for 295,000 against James O'Sullivan.

Toby Clifton: JJ All in
James O'Sullivan: AK

Clifton's jacks held on the 6Q5 flop. To flip the script, O'Sullivan needed one of his overcards to fall on the next two streets. The turn 9 gave O'Sullivan additional outs for a flush draw but the river 4 cemented Clifton's lead, boosting his stack with a double.

Studniarz Falls to Scholz

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Sylwia Studniarz
Sylwia Studniarz

Sylwia Studniarz opened to 26,000 from middle position, Nicholas Scholz three-bet to 54,000 from the hijack and Studniarz called.

The flop came 94Q. Studniarz checked and Scholz bet 250,000 into the 138,000 pot. Studniarz shoved for 449,000 and Scholz called with a covering stack.

Sylwia Studniarz: A9 All in
Nicholas Scholz: JJ

Scholz was ahead with his pair of jacks against Studniarz' pair of nines. The 63 runout changed nothing for either player and Studniarz was eliminated from the Main Event while Scholz dragged in a huge pot.
