Alessandro Predaroli raised to 60,000 under the gun, holding Q♦10♦. Thomas Boivin called on the button with K♣Q♣, after which the 8♣J♠5♦ flop was checked through.
Predaroli bet 150,000 on the J♣ turn, seeing Boivin call. Predaroli upped the sizing to 375,000 on the 4♠ river, which caused Boivin to lay his king-high down.
Cyrille Rousset opened to 65,000 in middle position and Micah Raskin called in the cutoff.
Rousset continued for 100,000 on the flop of 8♣3♦9♥ and Raskin called. Rousset then checked on the 2♣ turn and Raskin bet 200,000. Rousset laid it down.
Shoichiro Tamaki raised to 70,000 on the button and Noah Goldman three-bet to 240,000 in the big blind. Tamaki called.
Goldman continued for 225,000 on the flop of 9♣6♥10♠ and Tamaki called. Goldman sized up to 650,000 on the 2♠ turn and Tamaki again called.
Goldman slowed down with a check on the 5♣ river and Tamaki checked back. Goldman showed A♥10♣ for top pair and it was good to win the pot as Tamaki mucked in defeat.
Josselin Gardes opened J♥J♦ in early position and got one caller in Damien Luis from the big blind holding Q♠9♣.
Gardes made a set on the J♠3♣K♣ flop, and Luis check-called a bet of 55,000 to the 6♦ turn. Again Luis checked, and again Gardes bet, this time for 165,000. Luis eventually folded his gutshot, and Gardes added to his stack.
In the next hand, Dmitrii Perfilev raised A♦10♦ to 60,000 from the hijack and Greg Merson defended 6♦3♠ in the big blind.
On the 5♠3♥2♠ flop, Merson checked, Perfilev bet 75,000, and Merson called with his pair of threes to see the 2♠ hit the turn. Merson then decided to lead out for 60,000, but Perfilev was having none of it and raised to 180,000. Merson pulled back his initial bet, then slid forward a stack of chips to make a flop three-bet to 475,000.
Perfilev went into the tank for some time, but eventually settled on a fold, which earned Merson the pot.
Anthony Augustino raised it up in middle position and Alexandro Tricarico just called in the hijack. They went heads-up to a flop where Augustino check-called a bet of 35,000 from Tricarico.
The turn brought the 2♣ and Augustino checked again. Tricarico fired out another bet of 95,000 and Augustino took well over two minutes before calling. At this point, over half of the table was standing up to stretch or walk around.
The 10♦ landed on the river and Augustino checked for the third time. Tricarico quickly checked it back and Augustino rolled over A♥A♣ for two pair and the best hand.
Murilo Milhomem raised it up and then called a three-bet to 175,000 by Dillon Ott from two seats over as they headed to the Q♦8♠2♣ flop. The check of Milhomem prompted a bet of 80,000 by Ott and the Brazilian came along.
Both opted to check down the A♥ turn and 10♥ river for Milhomem to show the J♠J♦, which Ott had beat with the A♠K♠.
Brian Arbaugh and Seun Oluwole were heads-up on a board of J♣3♥A♣8♠ when Arbaugh bet 200,000 from early position. Seun Oluwole then moved all in from the big blind and Arbaugh snap-called.
Seun Oluwole: A♦8♦
Brian Arbaugh: A♥J♥
Oluwole had flopped two pair, but Arbaugh had a higher two pair on the flop and held on the K♣ river to secure the pot. The stacks were counted down and Arbaugh had 800,000 remaining. Oluwole was barely covered and threw the rest of his chips into the middle of the table before heading for the exit.
Harold Lam raised for Matt Affleck to defend the big blind and check the A♣Q♥9♥ flop. Lam bet 45,000 and Affleck check-jammed for 130,000. A very reluctant call by Lam followed and the cards were tabled.
Matt Affleck: J♥9♣
Harold Lam: 6♣6♦
Affleck was ahead with his third pair and held thanks to the 5♥ turn and 4♣ river. However, the fortune would not last long as he was spotted on his way out soon after with the chips being pushed to Johan Schumacher.
