Morris Bows Out on a Table Full of Big Stacks

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Alberto Destrade opened to 55,000 in middle position and Meerwais Hussaini three-bet to 140,000 in the hijack. Stephanie Morris flat-called on the button and Destrade came along as well.

The flop came Q86 and Hussaini continued with a bet of 160,000. Morris raised to 400,000 which got Destrade to fold but Hussaini ripped all in for 1,075,000. Morris had a decision to make for the extra 460,000 in front of her and she gave it some thought for nearly three minutes before calling.

Stephanie Morris: KKAll in
Meerwais Hussaini: QQ

"I thought that's what you had," Morris said realizing she was down to just two outs. The 3 on the turn and the J on the river was not going to save her as Morris headed to collect her payout.

Cheong Eliminated by Holtzman

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

The camera crew rushed by when a short-stacked Joseph Cheong pushed all in from the cutoff for his last 180,000 and was called by Guy Holtzman in the big blind.

Joseph Cheong: 54 All in
Guy Holtzman: QJ

The JJ5 flop left Cheong needing a miracle to survive as he needed running fives for quads. He had already grabbed up his belongings and was gone by the time the turn showed 9 to make the 4 river a formality. Holtzman had extended his fist for a bump but was left hanging as Cheong had already reached the ropes of the tournament area on his way out.

Gardes Folds the Best Hand; Touitou Wins a Flip

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Josselin Gardes opened to 50,000 from the hijack with A6 and Dmitrii Perfilev defended with Q6.

They saw a flop of 438, where both checked to the board-pairing 8 turn. Perfilev reached for chips and threw out 45,000, and after a long tank, Gardes folded the best hand.

Steven Touitou: QJ All in
Santiago Montes: 88

Touitou was flipping for his Main Event life, and didn't connect with the A36 flop. However, a Q on the turn gave him a pair of queens and left him one card from safety. The 10 river didn't change anything, and Touitou survived.

Huge Double for Wolter

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Johan Schumacher and Jonathan Wolter got involved in a preflop raising war which resulted in Wolter putting all of his 1,610,000 chips in the middle against the bigger stack of Schumacher.

Jonathan Wolter: KKAll in
Johan Schumacher: AK

The flop came 953 and Wolter was still in the lead with his pocket kings. The 10 on the turn and the J on the river was not going to help Schumacher who was forced to pass over a huge double up.

Nemetz Bets Big Against Power

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Stefan Nemetz and Chad Power built a pot of around 350,000 as they went to a flop of Q96. Power then bet 100,000 from the button and Nemetz called under the gun.

Both players checked the 7 turn. Nemetz then led out for 550,000 on the 8 river.

"Would you raise me on the flop with the ace of hearts? You can respond if you want," Power interrograted Nemetz as he tanked for several minutes. Nemetz never broke his expression and remained silent.

"So big, bro," Power added, burying his face in his hands before tossing his cards away. "If you show a bluff right now, you can blow this game open," Power told him, but Nemetz returned his cards face down.

Another player at the table then admitted he had the ace of hearts, and Nemetz could only help but smile. "He's like, 'f**k," another tablemate added.
