Power Pushes Tenorio Out

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Alen Tenorio made it 240,000 with AJ from the cutoff. Chad Power called holding 87 from the small blind, and Leo Margets defended her big blind with 65.

Power led out for 400,000 on the 7A5 flop, which only Tenorio called.

The flush-completing 2 hit the turn and Power led out again, this time for 1,000,000. Tenorio decided to lay down top pair, and Power pulled in the pot.

Calderon and Grupp Double

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Mounir Tajiou had received some beverage as ordered by Swedish friends on the rail and then shouted vividly in his native language that he was all-in, up against Albert Calderon in the next seat.

Albert Calderon: AK All in
Mounir Tajiou: 55

"The flop is good, and the turn is good," Tajiou said as the board ran out Q106106. He didn't notice at first that the pair was counterfeit and Calderon doubled for 870,000.

Another double was awarded to Kyle Grupp through Craig Trost when the former had turned a set of fives with 55 on a board of 8635A. Apparently, the big blind had folded and exposed eight-trey, which then became relevant on that specific flop.

Jansen's Spin Up Halted by Fan

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Bradley Jansen
Bradley Jansen

Chih Fan raised to 240,000 from the hijack and Bradley Jansen jammed for 920,000 from the cutoff. When it got back to Fan, he called.

Bradley Jansen: AK All in
Chih Fan: 77

Jansen had Big Blick in back-to-back hands, but this time he had to connect with the board to stay alive.

However, it was Fan that hit the flop hard, as it came 627 to give Fan top set. The remainder of the runout came 48, and Jansen was the next casualty of the Main Event.

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

The flop showed K82 and the bet of 200,000 by Juan Carlos Vecino from under the gun was called by Ruben Correia on the button. Vecino fired another 800,000 on the Q turn for Correia to call and they checked the Q on the river.

Vecino tabled the J10 and Correia won the pot with the KJ.

"What did you eat for dinner?" another player jokingly asked the Portuguese.

Four Nine-Highs for Kassouf

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
William Kassouf
William Kassouf

Leon Sturm raised to 240,000 from under the gun with K5 and Will Kassouf called on his left with 109. They went heads-up to a flop of 995 and Sturm check-called a bet of 260,000 from Kassouf.

The turn brought the 9 and Sturm led out with a bet of 270,000. Kassouf just called after making quad nines and the 7 hit the river. Sturm checked this time and Kassouf dropped in a bet of 1,230,000.

"Chop chop," Kassouf said after Sturm was in the tank for over three minutes. "I don't want to call clock." A little more speech play from Kassouf and Sturm looked him up.

"Nuts! Coconuts!" Kassouf shouted as he turned over his hand. "I have ten seconds to act, you can have five hundred and ten."

Ali Trips Up Shutley; Williams Shoves on Szwarcberg

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Mark Shutley and Ihab Ali went to the turn on a board of JA3J when Ali led out for 500,000 from the small blind. Shutley called on the button.

Ali then bet 600,000 on the 2 river and Shutley again called. Ali turned over KJ for trips and Shutley flashed the A before mucking.

At another table, Tomas Szwarcberg had bet 375,000 from middle position on a board of 5557 before Benjamin Williams raised to 800,000 in the big blind. Szwarcberg called and the K fell on the river.

Williams then moved all in for 1,300,000 and Szwarcberg tanked for several minutes until the clock was called. His hand was declared dead after 30 seconds and Williams took the pot.

Chen's Accidental Limp Pays Off

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Yuchen Chen accidentally limped in from under the gun, with Jameson Painter calling on the button. Sebastian Schulze then checked his option in the big blind.

Chen continued for 125,000 on the A5A flop, with Schulze being the only caller.

Schulze then check-called bets of 450,000 and 1,000,000 on the J turn and 8 river.

Chen announced "full house," tabling 55 for flopped fives full of aces. Schulze mucked.

On the next deal, Schulze limped in from the small blind and Chen checked.

Chen called a bet of 120,000 on the 1053 flop before the J turn checked through to the K river. Schulze bet 325,000 and Chen folded.

Tenorio Pays Off Hesse's Value Bet

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Stephen Hesse
Stephen Hesse

Stephen Hesse made it 250,000 from middle position and only Alen Tenorio called out of the big blind.

Tenorio check-called a bet of 200,000 from Hesse on the 592 flop.

The K rolled off on the turn, causing Tenorio to check. Hesse bet 450,000, which Tenorio called.

Tenorio knuckled the action over to Hesse for the last time when the 7 dropped on the river. Hesse fired out roughly a half-pot bet of 900,000, causing Tenorio to go into the tank. After multiple minutes of thinking, Tenorio slammed in the call.

Hesse showed top pair with KJ to win the pot, as Tenorio mucked 105 for just a pair of fives.
