Players are now on their first 15-minute break of the day, and play is expected to resume at 3:15 p.m. local time.
James Meachen raised from the hijack to 160,000, and Zhengyu Guan moved all in from the button. Everyone else moved out of the way, and Meachen took a pause and called.
Zhengyu Guan: Q♦10♦
James Meachen: A♣J♦
The board came with a queen in the window for Guan with Q♠8♣5♦4♦K♠, and her last words were, "No ace, thank you". A pair of queens would allow Guan to stay in the game.
Travis Moran shoved on the button, covering both the blinds. David Elet called all in for his remaining 600,000
David Elet: J♦10♦
Travis Moran: 3♦3♠
David Elet picked up all the outs in the world on the K♣9♠8♠ flop, and hit one on the J♠ turn. The K♠ looked to secure the win, however, it gave Moran five spades, as he flushed Elet away. "That went runner runner runner," a player at the table commented.
Idan Schabcher raised to 160,000 from under the gun, and Je Tekara moved all in for 850,000 effective from the big blind. Schabcher called immediately.
Idan Schabcher: A♠A♥
Je Tekara: A♣K♥
The board ran out with 5♥Q♥9♦8♠J♥ and aces were good for top pair and the win.
Andreas Mages raised from the cutoff to 160,000 and was called by Aaron Messmer in the big blind.
The flop came 3♥8♣J♠ and instantly, Messmer moved all in. Mages snap called.
Aaron Messmer: 3♣2♠
Andreas Mages: J♥K♥
Messmer needed some help to stay alive. The 7♥ on the turn didn't help at all, and when the 6♦ came on the river he was sent packing.
Michael Acevedo raised from early position to 125,000 and Matthew Bonham called from the big blind. The board came out with Q♥J♣J♠, and Bonham had checked in the dark. Acevedo bet out 75,000, and Bonham called.
Both players checked the turn 7♠.
The river 6♦ had Bonham take the lead with a bet of 240,000. Acevedo called. Bonham flipped over J♦10♥ for trips, and Acevedo mucked.
Action was picked up on the 5♦6♦8♣ flop, with Phil Mader already all in, having shoved preflop for 265,000. Geoffrey Coatar had bet 175,000 into the dry sidepot, but was facing a 500,000 raise from Phillip Pope. After some thought, Coatar got out of the way, and the other two went off to a runout.
Phil Mader: 9♠8♦
Phillip Pope: A♠A♦
Mader took no time in getting there, as the 7♠ turn gave him a straight. Pope couldn't find a chop on the 2♣ river as Fader more than tripled.
