Zhang Doubles Through Simpson

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Responding to a raise of 250,000 from the cutoff player, Ian Simpson moved all in from the small blind. Haixia Zhang called from the big blind for less, and the original raiser folded.

Haixia Zhang: QQ All in
Ian Simpson: AQ

Simpson found no help on the 278 flop, and although the turn 2 gave him a flush draw, the river was unforthcoming as the dealer flipped over the 4.

Zhang's stack was calculated to be 1,390,000, and Simpson duly paid her his dues.

Banionis Holds to Double

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Sean Banionis moved all in from middle position for 1,250,000, and only Yonatan Basin called from the small blind.

Sean Banionis: QQ All in
Yonatan Basin: AQ

There were some nerves shown from Banionis as the J103 flop gave Basin a straight draw, and the 4 turn improved him to a flush draw too.

The river 2 was a brick, though, and Banionis held on to double.

Level 29 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Joseph Derosa: A4 All in
Andrew Ahn: KJ

The board came out with a little bit of overkill with 85JJ6 and trips for Ahn worked for the knockout.

Wesley Fei
Wesley Fei

Peter Placey raised to 250,000 from early position, only for Wesley Fei to three-bet to 650,000. Placey called, and the players both checked the JK6 flop to see the 2 drop on the turn.

Placey checked to Fei, who bet out for 700,000. Placey went into the tank for a while and announced that he was all-in. Fei snap-called.

Peter Placey: KQAll in
Wesley Fei: AA

"Yes, come on! Hold!" exclaimed Fei when the cards were turned.

The river bricked out with the 4, and Placey was sent packing while Fei pulled in another monster pot and has cracked the 10,000,000 chip mark.

Nan Chen, who actually bagged the biggest stack at the end of the night last night, is now back in the chip leader position.

Action was picked up on the river with a board of 5JK9J, and the pot was about 840,000. Chen was in the big blind and bet out 550,000, and Antonio Bucarizza was under the gun and made the call.

Chen flipped over Q10 for the straight, and Bucarizza stated, "Oh wow," and mucked.

Caldas Wins a Pot Before Departing

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Carlos Caldas opened under the gun to 200,000, and only Oren Rosen called, defending his big blind.

Both players checked on the 524, and the dealer revealed the Q turn.

Rosen opted to lead out for 185,000, which Caldas called.

The river 5 saw both players check. Rosen flipped overKx6x, which was no good versus the A4 of Caldas.

As Caldas was stacking his chips, he was handed a chip rack and asked to move to another table to balance the field.

Hanseok Ko: A5All in
Wesley Fei: AK

No help for Ko on the J106 flop nor the 2 turn, and when the river bricked out with the 7 he was sent to the rail and Fei raked in the healthy pot to keep building his stack.
