Rundquist Nuts on Turn

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Tianshi Hu opened to 1,100 under the gun. Ovakim Kanondzhyan flatted on his direct left, and Navid Saberin did the same from the hijack. Kristopher Rundquist then moved all in for 12,200 from the cutoff, and Hu rejammed, covering the table. Both Kanondzhyan and Saberin laid their cards down, with the latter showing 22

Kristopher Rundquist: 109 All in
Tianshi Hu: AK

The 476 flop afforded some extra outs to Rundquist, which he then hit as the 8 turn improved him to the nuts, and secured his double. Nothing could save Hu, as the 10 river was nothing but a formality.

Two Pair? Too Bad

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Thomas Cipriano raised to 1,500 under the gun, which Luis Ramos and Gareth Thompson called from the button and small blind.

The action checked to Cipriano on a 6A9 flop, which saw Ramos fold, but Thompson check-raised to 10,000, which Cipriano called.

Thompson continued with a bet of 17,000 on the Q turn, and this time it was Cipriano who raised, making it 40,000. Thompson then moved all in for 50,400, and Cipriano called.

Gareth Thompson: A6 All in
Thomas Cipriano: AQ

Thompson had flopped two pair, but had been run down on the turn, as Cipriano made a better two pair.

The 4 made no change to the standings, and Thompson's Main Event was over.

Kuziv's Set Sends Minko Home

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Heads-up to the turn on a board of QJ58, Vladimir Minko bet 7,000 from the small blind, and Ivan Kuziv called on the button.

The 4 completed the board, and after a few moments, Minko bet 27,700, leaving himself just 100 behind. Kuziv jammed, covering Minko, and Minko let out a long, audible sigh before flicking in his last chip.

Kuziv tabled 88 for a set of eights, which was enough to end Minko's Main Event run as he could only show A10 for ace-high.

Johnson Gets a Gift

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Seeing a raise ahead of him, Espen Oeye three-bet to 3,500 from middle position. John Johnson responded with a four-bet jam for 16,000.

The initial raiser folded, but Oeye wasn't so sure how to respond.

"Should I give you a 16,000 gift?" he asked Johnson.

Johnson replied, "I don't know, I don't know if you have enough to be handing out gifts."

"That's what I'm thinking," Oeye replied before choosing to call anyway.

John Johnson: AK All in
Espen Oeye: KJ

The K689Q kept Johnson in the lead, and Oeye delivered his gift one seat to his left.

River Shines on Corcoran

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Ronald Corcoran got the action going with an open to 1,300 from under the gun. Jana Pavini made the call from the hijack position, but William Wolf reopened the bidding with a reraise to 7,800 from the big blind.

Corcoran shoved for 11,300 before Pavini made the fold. Wolf put in the call to put Corcoran at risk.

Ronald Corcoran: 1010All in
William Wolf: AJ

Corcoran was in a race against Wolf, and the flop kept him in the lead when it fanned out Q92.

That all changed on the J turn as Wolf improved to a higher pair.

Corcoran was flirting with an exit, but the river would be his salvation when the K peeled to give him a straight and earn the double up.

The 10AA flop led to a bet of 2,500 from Mortensen. Singh called.

Mortensen bet 4,500 on the 3 turn. Singh briefly thought about it before he made the fold to award the pot to Mortensen, who continues to have a strong Day 1a.

Cooler Flop Goes Goebel's Way

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

With around 4,000 in the pot on a 983 flop, and after some raising back and forth between Billy Williams in the blinds and Kyle Goebel from early position, Goebel's stack of around 39,000 found its way into the middle with Williams trying to bust him.

Kyle Goebel: 99 All in
Billy Williams: 33

It was a brutal cooler, with both players flopping a set. Williams needed the case three to felt Goebel.

The board ran out clean, and Goebel secured the double-up at Williams' expense.

Pagliuso Knocks Down Joseph

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Alessandro Pagliuso limped from under the gun and action folded around to Pierre Joseph in the small blind who called. James Cook checked his big blind and the players saw the 946 flop.

Action checked to Pagliuso who bet 1,500 on the flop and both players called behind to see the 9 turn.

Joseph bet out 8,000 and Cook folded. Pagliuso called to see the 8 fall on the river and both checked to showdown.

Joseph showed A9 for a set of nines but Pagliuso tabled his 109 for the heart flush.
