Lucky Turn For Lichtenberger

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Andrew Lichtenberger raised to 1,100 from early position before Jordan McKnight three-bet to 3,500 from middle position.

Lichtenberger put in the call and sent them to a flop of 633 before he checked. McKnight continued for 3,000. Lichtenberger pondered for a moment before he called.

The A slowed down the action as both players checked.

Lichtenberger led out for 4,000 on the 4 river. McKnight called to find out that the turn was a compromising one as Lichtenberger showed A10 for a turned pair of aces.

A frustrated McKnight showed JJ for a cracked pair of jacks.

"Good hand," said McKnight as he tapped the table as the pot went Lichtenberger's way.

Venturelli Jams Into Sandev

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Without any limp or raise prior, Louis Venturelli made it 3,000 to go and Georgi Sandev in the next seat then three-bet small to 7,000. All players behind folded and Venturelli moved all in near instantly. Sandev reluctantly folded and flashed ace-king, Venturelli said he had ace-king as well.

Sandev then raised to 1,300 from the cutoff and was called by Max Faulkner as well as Chad Burum in the next seats. They headed to the 884 flop on which Sandev's bet of 1,400 won the pot uncontested.

Phan Doesn't Move

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action was picked up on the river, where the board read A82QK and the pot held around 65,000.

Small blind Brian Frasca checked over to cutoff player Tuan Phan, who moved all in for 37,500, sending Frasca into the tank.

A player asked the dealer to call floor, which he did not, so the players took matters into their own hands. Once he arrived, after around a minute, Frasca's 30-second clock was started. With just a few seconds left, he stuck in the call and tabled AQ.

Phan didn't move for quite some time, despite being told to table his hand. He asked two players, then the dealer, then Frasca himself if he had called. Everyone responded in the affirmative, and he finally showed AK to get a double.

Himpele Wisely Checks Back

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

With approximately 35,000 in the pot on a board of JQA106, Rudy Cervantes checked from the small blind.

Donald Himpele spent a long time in the tank from the hijack before eventually deciding to check back with around 25,000 behind.

It proved to be the correct decision, as Cervantes tabled K7 for Broadway to take down the pot.

Queens Folded Face Up

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Seeing a raise ahead of him, Octavian Tarcau three-bet to 3,500 from middle position before facing a cold four-bet to 10,600 from Honghao Shi in the hijack. The initial raiser folded, but Tarcau called.

Tarcau checked over to Shi on a 43J flop, who bet 9,500, which Tarcau called.

The 3 turn saw Tarcau check once again, and this time Shi put 80,000 into the pot, enough to cover the remaining stack of Tarcau.

After just a minute or two had passed, Tarcau flashed QQ and folded. Shi pretended to flip his cards over, but instead returned them to the dealer face down.

Huge Double for Shevliakov

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

The cards were already on their backs and a full double was counted out for Aleksandr Shevliakov who doubled his 89,700 through Jimmie Lucero. The entire board of 101059A was still exposed with Lucero holding the KK as the player to have moved all-in, while Shevliakov had flopped trips and rivered a full house with the A10 for tens full of aces.

One hand later, Lucero was all-in for the final 400 chips and Aleksandr Shevliakov was trying to finish the job.

Jimmie Lucero: A10 All in
Aleksandr Shevliakov: Q10

The board ran out AQ3J2 and Lucero escaped from elimination for now.

Yaker Doesn't Get a Taker

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

There were 10,600 in the middle on a complete board that read 289J. Justin Yaker came out with a bet from early position, but Hayden Toole responded with a raise to 12,000 from the hijack.

Yaker responded in kind with a three-bet to 35,500. Toole gave it considerable thought before he eventually decided on a fold as Yaker won the raising war on the river.

Habrich Shows Korhs a Bluff

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

With around 14,000 in the middle to the Q65 flop, Eric Habrich checked and Vitalijs Korhs made it 3,200 to go. Habrich check-raised to 6,500 and Korhs called to see the 6 on the turn. Habrich bet 11,000 and Korhs reluctantly called before facing a bet of 25,000 on the K river.

Korhs had much less than that behind and reluctantly folded, then said, "show the bluff."

Habrich obliged and tabled his J9, after which Curtis Nare exclaimed, "wow, that is some Ultimate Texas Hold'em."

"You didn't expect to see that, eh?" Daniel Weinman joked.

Stojanovic Pressures Tononi

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Vlada Stojanovic
Vlada Stojanovic

Leonardo Tononi was in the hijack and in a hand with his neighbor Vlada Stojanovic who was sat in the cutoff. The pair were already on the 968 flop with a pot of just under 10,000.

Tononi check-called a 4,000 bet by Stojanovic, and they were taken to the 8 turn. Tononi then bet 5,500 and Stojanovic made a swift call.

The 10 river prompted Tononi to bet 8,000 and Stojanovic paused, before moving all in for his remaining 25,800 stack. Tononi took a moment to contemplate his option before folding his hand and passing the pot to Stojanovic.
