Rose Double Leaves Medesan on Fumes

With some 34,000 in the middle to the 7644 turn, Alain Medesan pushed all-in for around 67,000 out of the big blind. Shane Rose went deep into the tank and the clock was called on him. During the additional 30 seconds to act, Rose called and the cards were on their backs.

The double draw of Medesan missed on the 5 river and Rose doubled for 45,300.

Meyer Triples Up

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Kai Meyer moved all in from under the gun for 6,800 and in middle position, Kai Meyer said, "raise," and tossed out two red chips. After some confusion of what the raise size would be, the number of 12,400 was eventually landed on and Brian Etheridge called.

Further confusion ensued when a flurry of chips were tossed around to make change and a side pot and eventually, after re-checking the cameras, the pot was corrected.

Both players checked the AQ7 flop to the A turn where Etheridge check-called a bet of 5,200 from Hall.

Action checked through on the river 7.

Etheridge's sevens full was good for the side pot while Meyer's aces full scooped the main pot.

Jaisingh Comes from Behind to Double

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Rahul Jaisingh open-jammed for his final 16,800 from middle position, and Takuma Washio called in the hijack, while all subsequent action folded.

Jaisingh needed to improve to stay alive, and he found just the help he needed on the JJ2 flop. Washio was drawing dead on the 2 turn to the 7 as he sent doubling chips in the direction of Jaisingh.

The ESPN camera crew rushed to the table to catch the tail end of an all-in showdown between Jourdan Baptiste and James Burns. The latter had his KK still exposed, which had flopped the top set and turned a full house on the KQ995 runout.

On his way out, Baptiste asked if he could get away from it and others including Alexandru Gheorghiu shook their head. From what they talked about, Baptiste had flopped the straight with Jx10x.

Seibert Shows Winner

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

There were approximately 25,000 already in the middle of a board that read 3452. Brian Seibert checked before Matthias Auer put out a bet of 24,000.

Seibert made the call and sent them to a 2 river. Both players checked to go to a showdown.

Seibert showed KK, which was good enough as Auer mucked his hand in response.

Mcmurray Shoves the Turn

Guillermo Sanchez Otero raised to 2,500 from early position, Liam Mcmurray called in middle position before Matthew Land three-bet to 9,000 on the button. Otero folded but Mcmurray made the call.

The flop came 265, and Land continued with a bet of 5,000, then Mcmurray raised to 20,000, and Land called.

Mcmurray decided to overbet shove on the A turn for 106,400, Land asked for a count and two minutes went by before he eventually folded then flashed the A. Mcmurray showed the 9.

Fagerbakke Sent Back to Bikini Bottom

Bill Fagerbakke, the voice of SpongeBob's Patrick Star, moved all in for 11,200 from the small blind and Yunsheng Sun called on the button.

Fagerbakke remained in the lead on the 42K flop, but Sun hit the 8 on the turn to move in front. The river was the 4 and Fagerbakke's Main Event came to an end.

Baldwin Doubles Through Pixton

James Pixton opened on the button and Eric Baldwin shoved for his last 24,500 from the big blind. Pixton quickly called to put Baldwin at risk and a showdown was held.

Baldwin was in good shape with his queens and the 9K744 runout provided him with a relatively sweat-free runout for the double-up.

"Almost back to starting," Baldwin said as he collected the pot.

Scott Sitron was in middle position and was already all in for his last 33,200. He was covered by Damon Fine who was sitting in the hijack.

Sitron was behind and looking for an ace but missed on the J79 flop. There was some chance of a backdoor straight but, that hope came to an end after the 5 was turned.

The K river saw to Sitron's elimination, and he missed out on making it to the dinner break on Day 2abc.

Lim Can't Find a Third Bullet

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Christopher Vitch bet 1,600 from under the gun on a flop of 57Q before Yohwan Lim, the Korean esports star known as "Boxer," raised to 4,500 in the big blind. Vitch called.

Lim bet another 7,100 on the 6 turn, and Vitch again called. Lim took so long to act on the 5 river that another tablemate eventually called the clock. Lim ended up checking, and Vitch quickly checked back.

Lim showed J10 for a bluff, while Vitch had QJ to win the pot.
