Boeree Bounced by Askeland

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Liv Boeree
Liv Boeree

Ole Askeland opened to 3,000 from under the gun before Liv Boeree responded with a three-bet to 10,000. Askeland asked to see her stack before he went all in to put Boeree to a decision. Boeree gave it some thought before she put in the call to put herself at risk for 54,500.

Liv Boeree: JJAll in
Ole Askeland: KK

Boeree was in a terrible bind as her pocket jacks were dominated by the pocket kings of Askeland.

The 9Q6 flop did not offer too much for Boeree to work with.

Boeree's situation did not improve on the A turn, giving her one pull at two outs for her Main Event life.

There was no miracle on the 3 river as Boeree busted in Day 2abc.

Kabrhel Has Met His Match in Richards

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Jessica Richards made a straight flush to bust Tao Wang on the previous hand, and she and Martin Kabrhel then went to a flop of 49K.

"I give you a discount. Usually I bet four," Kabrhel told her as he bet 3,500 from middle position. Richards called on the button.

The turn was the 8 and Kabrhel bet 8,000. Richards again called, and the Q fell on the river.

"Do you have a fold button?" Kabrhel said to her.

"I have a belly button," Richards replied.

"We won't talk about that. We just met. If you treated me like this at home, I would be very submissive," Kabrhel added.

"I'll treat you like a king," Richards said.

"Like the king in your hand?" Kabrhel said.

"Go fish," Richards replied.

Kabrhel eventually bet 9,000, and Richards quickly called. She turned over K9 for two pair. "I have king-queen, but it would be a suckout so I can't show," Kabrhel said as he mucked.

"You call with that preflop?" Kabrhel asked her.

"I was trying to make another straight flush," she replied.

"Jessica, if you do that one more time, then you probably win again," Kabrhel added.

Chaudey Has a New Lucky Masseuse

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Christopher Chaudey raised to 3,500 in early position and Kaito Hashimoto three-bet to 10,000 in middle position. Chaudey then moved all in, and Hashimoto called.

Kaito Hashimoto: KK All in
Christopher Chaudey: KK

Both players turned over two kings and were poised to chop the pot as the flop came 3J5. The Q turn gave Chaudey a flush draw, and he hit his draw on the A river to win the pot.

A devastated Hashimoto slunk back in his seat as the dealer counted out the stacks. Chaudey had 118,000, while Hashimoto had 115,000 and was eliminated.

"You're staying the rest of the day," Chaudey said to his masseuse.

"She's staying with you the rest of the week," another tablemate added.

"My regular one who always works with me wasn't available today, now she's not going anywhere," Chaudey said.

Eric Bunch
Eric Bunch

Heads up to the Q83 flop, Walid Mubarak checked from the big blind to Eric Bunch in the cutoff. Bunch bet 6,000, and Mubarak called.

The 9 turn then checked through to the Q river. Mubarak checked again, but Bunch piled in a hefty bet of 20,000. Mubarak immediately grabbed calling chips, but then took a while before he called.

Bunch turned over 95 for queens and nines, seeing Mubarak muck his cards in defeat.

Ryan Riess
Ryan Riess

Ryan Riess raised to 3,000 under the gun and Kevin Burris called in the big blind. Burris then moved all in for 17,500 on the J65 flop, and Riess couldn't call fast enough.

Kevin Burris: 63 All in
Ryan Riess: KK

Burris had flopped a pair, but he was still behind Riess' two kings. The 10 turn and 4 river were no help to Burris, and the 2013 world champion scored the knockout.

Bye Bye Bai

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Brian O'Donoghue raised to 3,500 in the hijack and Richard Bai called on the button. Ryota Shinde then three-bet to 15,000 in the small blind, and only Bai called.

The flop came J97 and Shinde bet 75,000, enough to put Bai all in. Bai called for around 30,000.

Richard Bai: 55 All in
Ryota Shinde: AJ

Shinde had flopped top pair to take the lead, and Bai couldn't catch up on the 3 turn or 7 river as he was sent to the rail.

A Dream Flop for Gardner

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Grant Gardner
Grant Gardner

Heads up to the flop of 796 with about 12,000 sat in the middle, Grant Gardner checked from early position to Donald Cowie in the next seat who fired out for 6,000.

Gardner went into the tank for a brief while before he moved all in for 26,000. Cowie snap-called.

Grant Gardner: 77 All in
Donald Cowie: Q9

Gardner had flopped the goods but still needed to dodge some outs to stay alive. No heart came on the 2 turn nor the 3 river for Cowie and Gardner was shipped the pot for a much needed double-up.

Poker Player Leaves WSOP Main Event Stack for $1/$2 Cash Games & Movies

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Amit Agarwal
Amit Agarwal

One poker player has been doing the 2026 World Series of Poker Main Event a little differently than everyone else.

Recreational player Amit Agarwal has become one of Poker Twitter's unexpected stars over the last few days, documenting a Main Event run that's featured more trips to the movie theater than hours at the poker table.

Rather than grinding every level of poker's world championship, Agarwal has repeatedly left with chips still in play to watch Obsession — a film he'd already seen several times — jump into low-stakes cash games, hit the gym, grab dinner and document it all on X. Somehow, despite repeatedly cutting his days short, he's managed to turn his 60,000-chip starting stack into more than 200,000.

Bifulco Pays Off Paur

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Taylor Paur
Taylor Paur

Heads up to the turn of J548 with about 40,000 in the pot, Douglas Bifulco led out from late position for 10,000, only for Taylor Paur, in the cutoff, to raise to 30,000. Bifulco thought for a while and made the call.

The river brought the 9, and Bifulco checked to Paur, who fired off a river bet of 60,000.

Bifulco went into the tank for a short while and tossed in the call only to toss his cards into the muck on seeing Paur table A6 for the nuts.
