Brad Ruben raised his button to 1,700, and Jeremy Menard and Arthur Thiriart called in the blinds. Ruben continued for 2,000 on the 7♠K♦Q♥ flop.
Menard check-called before Thiriart check-folded.
The 5♦ turn saw Ruben size up to 4,800. Menard check-called again, and he checked for a third time on the 8♦ river. Ruben tossed in a bet of 9,100, which Menard called after some time in the tank.
Ruben tabled K♠7♣ for flopped two pair, and Menard quickly added his cards to the muck in defeat.
Fabian Rolli opened to 1,800 from early position before Corey Wick called from the next seat over. John Andrews joined the party from the small blind as the three took a flop.
All three players passed on the K♥8♦Q♣ flop and the 4♣ turn to bring the 4♠ river.
Andrews opted to bet 5,500, which led to a fold from Rolli. Wick gave it some thought before he put one chip out to signal a call.
Wick made the correct decision as Andrews showed A♦10♠ for ace high. Wick tabled 7♥7♣ for two pair to claim the pot.
Michael Hutting led the Q♣9♠8♠4♣ turn for 5,000 and the 9♥ river for 10,000. Both of these bets were called by Shane Collins and Hutting showed the K♠J♦ for a missed straight draw. Collins had that beat with the A♠Q♥ to win the pot.
Heads-up on a board of 4♦5♦10♦A♠ with a bit under 20,000 already in the middle, Daniel Negreanu checked from under the gun and called an 11,000 bet from Christian Loucas, who was in the cutoff.
The 10♠ paired the board on the river and both players checked.
Negreanu revealed A♥10♥ for a runner-runner full house and Loucas sent his cards into the muck.
With about 18,000 in the pot on the 8♠J♣10♥ flop, David Stamm led out for 3,500 from the small blind, and Gareth Devereux called from middle position.
After both players checked the 2♠ turn, the 4♥ completed the board. Stamm bet 8,000, which Devereux quickly called.
Stamm tabled K♦10♦ for second pair, but it was no good against Devereux's Q♠Q♣ for an overpair.
In a three-bet pot, Samuel Gruber bet 5,000 from the big blind on a flop of 8♠6♠3♥ and Gabriel Wechter raised to 13,000 on the button. Gruber called.
Wechter then bet 39,000 on the 5♦ turn, leaving only a few chips behind, and Gruber then moved all in. Wechter called and turned over A♣A♠.
"That's the one I was afraid of. I thought you would four-bet kings or queens," Gruber said as he showed J♠J♣. The river was the 9♥ and Wechter doubled up.
Kaito Hashimoto raised to around 2,000 from middle position, and Michael Cervantes three-bet to 6,500 from the hijack. When the action got back to Hashimoto, he moved all in for 23,200, and Cervantes called.
Kaito Hashimoto: K♦K♠
Michael Cervantes: J♣J♦
Hashimoto's pair of kings remained best through the 6♣2♥3♦4♠7♣ runout, keeping him alive in the Main Event.
Seeing four limps ahead of him, JC Tran raised to 5,500 in the big blind. The original limper, Curtis Cavazos, called from under the gun, and Gregory Benac called in the cutoff before the button and small blind folded.
Tran continued to bet on the 10♥Q♦8♥ flop, putting 6,500 into the pot. Cavazos folded, but Benac stuck around.
The 3♣ turn did nothing to slow Tran down, as he barreled with a 16,000 bet. This time Benac ceded and returned his cards to the dealer.
