Galiana Snaps Off Hays' River Bluff to Double

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Antonio Galiana
Antonio Galiana

Antonin Hays raised to 200,000 from the hijack and Antonio Galiana defended his big blind.

Galiana check-called a 300,000 bet from Hays on the 64Q flop and then led out for 450,000 after the 3 fell on the turn. Hays responded by raising to 1,450,000 and Galiana called.

The K completed the board and Galiana checked a final time. Hays tanked a bit before announcing he was all-in and Galiana snap-called all in for approximately 3,500,000 total.

Antonio Galiana: KQAll in
Antonin Hays: A7

Hays could only show a bluff and Galiana shouted, "Vamos!" as he slammed down two pair to be awarded the large double-up.

Farid Jattin
Farid Jattin

Benjamin Morgan open-jammed for 800,000 in late position and Farid Jattin re-shoved in the small blind for 880,000. David Urban then tanked in the big blind before eventually folding.

Benjamin Morgan: QQ All in
Farid Jattin: 99

Morgan had the better pair and nothing changed on the runout of K7AK5 as Jattin was left with just above a starting stack, leading to a quip from Cade Lautenbacher.

"You just buy in?" Lautenbacher asked Jattin.

Tianle Wang raised to 200,000 in early position, Farid Jattin put in his last 365,000 from the big blind, and Wang called.

Farid Jattin: A8 All in
Tianle Wang: A7

Both players hit top pair on the A45 flop, but Jattin's eight-kicker continued to play after the 6 turn and Q river to earn him the double-up.

"We're going to do it, Mike. You and me. We're going to war together, Mike," Jattin said to the dealer.

"Leave us commoners out of it. The peasants must be spared," tablemate Benjamin Morgan added.

Ryan Grant

Felix Kuemayr raised to 200,000 in middle position. Ryan Grant moved in his stack of 1,400,000 in the hijack, and Kuemayr quickly called after the action had folded back to him.

Ryan Grant: A7 All in
Felix Kuemayr: AQ

Kuemayr's kicker remained in play on the 823106 runout, spelling the end of Grant's Main Event.

Will Givens' stack was also at this table, but he had not yet returned from his dinner break, nearly 30 minutes after it had ended.

Hebbar's One-Two Punch Knocks Out Naim

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Ibrahim Naim
Ibrahim Naim

Shreesh Hebbar made it 200,000 to go from the button, and Ibrahim Naim defended from the big blind.

Naim checked the 1056 flop, and Hebbar fired 125,000. Naim check-raised to 290,000, which Hebbar called.

The K landed on the turn, and Naim check-folded when Hebbar started to bet.

The very next hand, Lucas Jumalon raised to 200,000 from under the gun, with Hebbar calling in the cutoff and Michael Gagliano coming along on the button. Naim then jammed for around 1,100,000 from the small blind, and only Hebbar called.

Ibrahim Naim: KQ All in
Shreesh Hebbar: AQ

Having just won a pot off Naim, Hebbar now had the chance to finish the job, with Naim dominated.

The dealer spread JJ996, leaving Naim with just king-high. Hebbar's ace-high was enough to earn him the pot, and Naim became the latest casualty of the Main Event.

Set-Over-Set Coolers Spell the End for Sandvik, Stacks

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Andy Stacks

Archimedes Arenas raised to 210,000 in early position, Espen Sandvik moved all in for 2,700,000 from the big blind, and Arenas called.

Espen Sandvik: 33 All in
Archimedes Arenas: 99

"Wow!" tablemate Francisco Fragoso said as the 3 came in the window to give Sandvik a set, but it was followed by 98 as Arenas also hit a set. The rest of the board ran out 68, and Arenas stopped to snap a photo of the board while Sandvik got up to shake his hand before heading to the rail.

At the same time at another table, Andy Stacks and Blake Barousse were heads-up on a board of 65AK with around 1,000,000 in the pot. Stacks then bet another 1,000,000 on the button, Barousse moved all in from early position, and Stacks snap-called for 2,600,000.

Stacks turned over 55 for a flopped set, but Barousse had turned a higher set with KK. The river was the 6 and "Andy Stacks" was sent to the rail.

Masato Yokosawa
Masato Yokosawa

Daewoong Song opened to 200,000 from the cutoff, and Akihiro Konishi called on the button before David Kluchman three-bet to 1,300,000 from the small blind. With a big part of his stack already committed, Masato Yokosawa moved all in from the big blind for a total of 265,000.

Song responded by four-bet jamming for 2,785,000, causing Konishi to fold A10, while Kluchman snap-called.

Masato Yokosawa: Q9 All in
Daewoong Song: AK All in
David Kluchman: KK

A board of 3J752 kept Kluchman's kings in the lead, so he sent both Yokosawa and Song to the rail.

Givens Given Dream Turn to Ship Monstrous Pot

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Will Givens
Will Givens

Christopher Chaudey kicked off the action with a raise to 160,000 in early position. Behnam Patros called in the hijack, and so did Will Givens on the button. Ricardo Cermeno defended his big blind, and the quartet saw a flop of A3J.

After Cermeno had checked, Chaudey continued for 150,000. Behnam Patros then raised to 450,000, and Givens three-bet to 1,450,000. Cermeno and Chaudey quickly got out of the way, but Patros called.

Givens sized down significantly on the Q turn, sliding 860,000 forward after Patros had checked. Patros then called, and the 8 river appeared.

Patros checked again, prompting Givens to announce a bet of 2,600,000, nearly covering his opponent's remaining stack. Patros spent about five minutes in the tank before Givens called the clock.

Patros' countdown had nearly reached zero when he abruptly threw in a calling chip. Givens jumped up as he tabled K10 for the nut straight, celebrating with his rail as he took down the enormous pot.

Patros, meanwhile, was left with less than a big blind to try and spin up after the extended break.

Kornegay Has "A Date to Destiny"

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Sam Snead
Sam Snead

Jason Kornegay and Merle Sauvola got their chips into the middle in what shaped up to be one of the most classic flips with near identical stack sizes.

Jason Kornegay: AK All in
Merle Sauvola: QQ

The board ran out A74JK and Kornegay doubled for 2,130,000, then exclaimed, "I got a date to destiny."

Sauvola was down to 145,000 and jammed the next hand, which Kyle Mart called in the cutoff.

Merle Sauvola: KJ All in
Kyle Mart: A6

The Q3297 runout spelled the end for Sauvola.

At the same time, one table over in the Gold section, Brock Wilson and Sam Snead were all-in preflop as well.

Sam Snead: KQ All in
Brock Wilson: A8

The 84269 board kept Wilson ahead all the way, and he also had Snead covered.

Anthony Lombard bowed out shortly after at the very end of the level as well.
