Barousse, who had no time banks, check-called bets of 600,000 and 1,800,000 on the flop and turn for the board to read K9327.

Barousse, who had around 5,600,000 behind, checked and Hammoud moved all in as the bigger stack. Barousse thought for about 5 to 10 seconds and called for his tournament life.

Hammoud tabled K9 for kings and nines, and Barousse mucked. As the latter exited, the dealer turned over his hand, showing K10.

The third level of Day 7 has concluded and secured another pay jump of $50,000 as only 32 players remain in contention heading into the next scheduled 20-minute break. Once they return, the blinds will be 200,000-400,000 with a big blind ante of 400,000 and this will be the penultimate level of the night. All players with chips at their disposal have locked up at least $265,000 for their efforts and the next pay jump occurs with 26 contenders still in the mix.

Jason Kornegay opened to 825,000 from under the gun. Daniel Savas in the small blind three-bet to 1,650,000 and Kornegay called.

The dealer fanned a flop of QK9 and Savas bet 1,650,000. Kornegay immediately raised all in for approximately 11,300,000. “All-in! He didn’t snap-call,” he said as he pushed his stack forward. He had barely finished speaking when Savas made the call.

Kornegay jammed with a set of nines but ran into a better set. The 10A runout kept Savas in the lead and Kornegay, who was slightly covered, was eliminated.
