Joao Viera
Joao Viera

In 2019, Joao Vieira won only the fourth bracelet ever by a Portuguese player. Fast forward to 2026, and he's now won four all by himself.

Vieira was one of six players who won their fourth bracelet at the 2025 WSOP, and is back this year ready for more.

We caught up with the Winamax Ambassador to see how he's settling into this year's summer and what awaits him at this year's WSOP.

The Rose Has Been Plucked Out

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Lexy Gavin-Mather in late position open-jammed for 940,000 and got a call from Michael Bahls on the button, putting her tournament life at risk.

Michael Bahls: AA

Upon seeing the hands, Gavin-Mather started picking up her things, ready to leave. The flop dropped QA3, prompting Bahls to say, "It's Over!" Gavin-Mather's fate was sealed with the 44 runout, giving Bahls a full house.

Gavin-Mather said her goodbyes as the dealer pushed the pot towards Bahls.

Battle of the Titans

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

The top two chip leaders were caught heads-up in a hand with a massive pot.

Robert Kuhn opened to 200,000 from early position. Antonio Vargas in middle position went beyond and made it 455,000. When action returned to him, Kuhn took his time to mull things over, then finally decided to four-bet to 2,000,000. Vargas gave Kuhn a stare-down, looked at his chips, and made the call.

The dealer flopped A64. Kuhn didn't let up the pressure and added another 700,000 to an already huge pot. Vargas decided to hang on and called.

On the turn 6, Kuhn, unstoppable, fired 1,400,000, sending Vargas to the tank. He counted his chips as if he would call but mucked his cards instead.

"Good bluff, Robert," Vargas said.

As he scooped the massive pot, Kuhn replied, "You are not one to be bluffed."
