Toledo Bounces McNicholas

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Delmiro Toledo opened to 100,000 from the button before Michael McNicholas shipped it for 390,000 total from the small blind. Toledo called to put McNicholas at risk.

Michael McNicholas: QJAll in
Delmiro Toledo: AJ

McNicholas was in trouble as his jack was overed by Toledo.

The board did not bring anything for McNicholas to work with when the board fanned out 69895 to eliminate McNicholas from contention.

Queen High? No Problem

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

This hand was picked up on the river, and the action was relayed to PokerNews via the players at the table.

David Wintersberger and Grant Oleary got entangled in a hand that was the buzz at the table. Both players took a flop of 6AK before Wintersberger bet and was called by Oleary.

The A turn did not slow Wintersberger down, as he kept up the pressure with a bet. Oleary made the call again.

Wintersberger went all-in on the 4 river, but Oleary was undeterred and made the call to put himself at risk for his tournament life.

Wintersberger showed 103 for a bluff.

Oleary tabled Q10 for just queen high as he made the correct hero call despite his opponent firing every street.

Try and Try Again

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Kyle Dishongh opened to 65,000 from the hijack. He was called by John Merriam on the button and Andro Scarpa in the big blind to create a three-handed pot.

It checked to Dishongh on the 864 flop before he continued for 80,000. Scarpa folded, but Merriam stuck around with a call.

The Q turn led to another check from Merriam. Dishongh kept up the pressure, this time, with a bet of 240,000. Merriam did not think long before he yielded the pot with a fold.

Trips No Good

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Action was picked up on a flop of 7J7 with middle position player Christopher Viox sat with a 400,000 from his near 2 million stack in the middle. Cutoff Travis Hudgens had moved all-in for slightly more than a million, and button player Michael Byers had done the same, with a slightly covering stack. Viox released his cards to the dealer.

Travis Hudgens: 87 All in
Michael Byers: 97

The seemingly innocuous A10 runout had Hudgens offer his opponent a fist-bump, assuming the two had chopped the pot. That was until another player at the table pointed out that he had hit a running flush, at which point he apologised to Byers for the needle, as he secured a huge double

Roberts Wins With Jacks

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Michael Gathy raised to 60,000 from late position, Christian Roberts smooth called from the cutoff, and Devin Shang came along for the ride from the big blind.

The players are playing fairly conservatively, and this hand was no exception. The players all checked through to the river on the board of K32A10.

Shang mucked, Gathy showed 77, and Roberts tabled JJ for the best pair and the win.
