Furey is No More

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Andrew Dean opened to 60,000 from under the gun before Charles Furey reraised to 180,000 from early position. Daniel Allen called out of the big blind, but Dean wanted to play for more and chose to three-bet to 550,000. Furey four-bet jammed for 1,435,000 in response. Allen gave it some thought before he folded. Dean called to put Furey at risk.

Andrew Dean: KK

Furey was in a dominant position to double up, but the flop was a disaster as it came K43 to give Dean top set.

The 6 turn was of no consequence and the Q river sealed the deal as a disappointed Furey was eliminated from contention.

Zhenglun Wu opened to 60,000 from middle position before Connor Henderson re-raised to 200,000 from the hijack. Wu three-bet to 400,000, and Henderson called to go to a flop.

Both players checked the 2 turn to bring the 3 river.

Wu checked again before Henderson went all-in for 530,000. Wu gave it some thought before he pitched his hand into the muck as Henderson won the hand uncontested.

Kim Spikes River

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

David Kim shoved for his final 180,000 from early position and was called by Taylor Hart in the big blind to be at risk.

David Kim: QJAll in
Taylor Hart: AQ

Kim was in trouble as his hand was dominated by Hart, and the flop was only a continuation of that when it fanned out 7JA. Kim had his kicker, but Hart also hit his ace to stay in a commanding lead.

The 2 turn was a blank, but the river was much more exciting when it came the J to give Kim trip jacks and secure the double.
