After coming through with one of the shortest stacks in day 2, Gary Dishongh had tumbled down to his last 30,000.
Action was followed from when players had just turned over their hands and Dishongh found himself at risk on the pay jump after being forced all in from the big blind. Fellow table mate Jorge Gomez was also at risk from an early position and for around 800,000. Adam Cohen who entered the tournament as the chip leader was in middle position and covered both players.

Dishongh was looking to improve and the 8♥5♦10♥ flop gave him some hope of remaining in the tournament after picking up a heart flush draw.
The 5♥ turn brought in the flush for Dishongh and Gomez also locked up the big side pot with his kings after the A♦ river was placed.
Ryan Tait opened to 80,000 from the hijack, but faced immediate resistance when Prashant Jha shoved for 165,000 from the cutoff. Tait made the call to put Jha at risk.

Jha was ahead as they went to a runout, and the first card in the window was just what he wanted to see when the dealer flopped 8♣9♦7♦ to give Jha a set of eights.
The 5♦ turn offered some opportunities for a chop, but the K♣ river sealed the deal in favor of Jha, who secured the double.
Manuel Estol moved all in from under the gun for his last 130,000 in chips. The action folded around to Brandon Simonsen on the button, who provided an isolation raise to 225,000. Everyone else moved out of the way.

Estol was heavily dominated heading to the board, which came out as 5♥A♥J♥7♠3♥, and Estol managed to double up with his flush.
Paul Runcan opened to 60,000 on the button and Isaac Hagerling moved all in for his remaining 275,000. Runcan asked for a count before making the call, and the players went to showdown.

Hagerling was ahead when the cards were turned, but the 4♦J♦8♣ flop put Runcan in the lead with a pair of eights. Hagerling picked up more on the A♠ turn and held to secure the double after seeing the 7♦ river.
Alen Bakovic opened to 80,000 from under the gun before Stanley Lee went all-in for 510,000 from early position. Bakovic wasted little time making the call to put Lee at risk.

The two appeared destined for a chop, and the flop did not bring any immediate danger to any player as it came 8♣J♦7♠.
The turn was ominous when the 8♦ peeled to give Bakovic a freeroll to a flush.
Disaster struck for Lee when the Q♦ peeled to give Bakovic a flush and end Lee's tournament run.
