Out of the 980 players that flocked to the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas for Event #32: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em, only 296 players are returning today, June 10, at 12 p.m. local time for Day 2. With registration open until the end of the first two levels today (until about 2:15 p.m.), these numbers are expected to increase.
The chip lead belongs to Joao Coelho (695,000), and close behind is Yan Kan (595,000). Closing the podium positions in third place is Johan Schumacher (520,000).
Making the top five is 25K Fantasy Draft pick Dong Chen (460,000), who is in a good position to run deep in the tournament. Chen has already made it in the money twice this summer in the $550 Mini Mystery Millions and the $1,700 U.S. Circuit Championship. With this trend continuing, a third cash seems highly likely, further adding to what has already been a profitable series.
