Belluscio Doubles Through Kliper

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Arie Kliper raised to 50,000 from early position. Both Julio Belluscio on the button and Nariman Yaghmai in the big blind made the call.

The flop came 879; it was checked to Belluscio, who fired a bet of 100,000. Yaghmai looked over to Belluscio's stack and folded, but Kliper asked how much Belluscio had behind. Belluscio counted it out, and Kliper raised to around 255,000. Belluscio shoved for 460,000 in total for Kliper to snap-call.

Julio Belluscio: JJ All in
Arie Kliper: J9

Kliper had flopped top pair while both had a gutshot to a straight, but Belluscio was ahead with the overpair.

The rest of the board was completed with the 8 and Q for Belluscio to hold and double up with the higher two pair.

Lazar the First Elimination of the Day

Level 30 : Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

With action folding to the blinds, Scott Lazar in the small blind opened to 105,000. Mark Wolpert in the big blind shoved all-in. Lazar, who had around 250,000 behind, called putting his tournament life at risk.

Scott Lazar: AK All in
Mark Wolpert: QQ

The flop came QQ9 evoking a round of laughter at the table as Lazar was drawing dead. The dealer completed the board with a 6 turn and a 10 river. Though he was the first elimination, he thoroughly enjoyed the hand.

With the field shrinking rapidly throughout Day 2 at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, only 44 players remain in Event #39: $5,000 Seniors High Roller No-Limit Hold'em. The survivors will return for the penultimate day in pursuit of the $673,011 top prize from the $3,882,400 prize pool and, of course, a coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet.

Coming into the day at the top of the counts is Manish Madan with 3,000,000. However, not too far behind is Buck Bucceri with a stack of 2,600,000, while Israel's Arie Kliper rounds out the podium positions with 2,200,000.
