Luke Graham raised the minimum to 100,000 under the gun and Qing Sun jammed from a few seats over for 530,000. Graham snap-called when the action got back to him.

Sun was in terrible shape against the pocket kings of Graham, and after the 4♣9♠3♠ flop, his elimination looked all but certain.

A 10♥ on the turn at least gave Sun some hope with a gutshot draw, though he didn't appear to believe it himself as he was already halfway out of his chair.

Then, the dealer spiked the J♥ on the river to complete Sun's straight, cracking Graham's kings and sending Sun back over the seven-figure mark.

At a nearby table, Marc Wolpert was seen exiting the tournament area and was eliminated.

An 8♥ joined the turn, and Layne checked for a second time. Kim bet 90,000, which Layne called.

Both players checked the 3♦ river, and Layne turned over 10♠9♠ for a missed straight draw. Kim had him beat with J♦7♣ for jack-high, and he was awarded the pot.

It was a classic battle between aces and kings. Thompkins got on his feet with a smile, expecting the worst. The dealer dealt J♣8♠3♣A♠2♥. With Yaghmai catching a set on the turn, Thompkins' fate was sealed. He left, telling the rail his hand, looking satisfied with how he played.
